Monad already has fast blocks. But what if an app could respond before the next block?
That’s the idea behind Typewriter.
Your action gets processed by the app first, then recorded onchain.
Faster response, but the app controls ordering.
Still an early prototype, but an interesting approach.

Ever wondered what “confirmed” actually means on Monad?
A block moves through 3 consensus states:
Proposed → sent to validators
Voted → backed by a supermajority
Finalized → fully confirmed by consensus
MonadBFT can reach speculative finality in ~300ms and full finality in ~600ms under normal conditions.
This means apps can act on an earlier confirmation instead of always waiting for full finality.
StraitsX is bringing XSGD and XUSD to Monad in early 2027.
Pretty interesting to see more real payment infrastructure starting to move into the ecosystem.
XSGD and XUSD are launching natively on Monad in early 2027, bringing @StraitsX’s regulated stablecoins into the Monad ecosystem
Aave V4 on Monad is being proposed.
Still governance stage, not live yet.
Pretty interesting signal for where Monad DeFi could be heading.
A new proposal seeks to deploy Aave V4 on @monad.
The deployment would include three risk-tiered markets, with USDC and USDT0 as borrowable assets.
FastLane just pushed shMON v1.2 live on Monad.
Timelocks, validator choice and hMON.
One of those infra updates that probably won’t get much hype, but still matters.
shMON v1.2 is now Live!
Whats new?
1) More Secure with a 3 day time-lock period for any contract changes
2) Validator Specific Staking allows Stakers to choose the Validator they delegate their MON to
3) Tokenised Degen Pool deposits mean you can mint a new token; hMON
Minting hMON means you donate your staking yield to regular shMON holders while getting a max 10X points boost just for holding and earning yield on hMON in DeFi
Happy farming!

The Tank cooked. I just went looking for more treasure.
Came across Vizardpad today.
Pretty interesting way to play with Monad consensus and see what breaks under different scenarios.
Worth a look.
Inspired by monad-viz from @category_xyz, we built Vizardpad.
monad-viz showed that Monad's real consensus code can run in a browser. We took the same engine (monad-bft compiled to WebAssembly) and asked a different question: what breaks it, and what does that break for everything built on top?
Vizardpad is a scenario launchpad for MonadBFT:
16 validators at mainnet pace, with Byzantine behavior patched into the real code
Scenarios you launch, record and share as a single link: over 1/3 of stake down, split brain, a whale validator crash, tail-fork attacks
DeFi what-ifs on top of real consensus: swaps, LPs, lending, oracles. What happens to liquidations when the chain halts in the middle of a crash?
A market view instead of a node graph: price, oracle and pool, with a forecast fan against liquidation levels
AI agents running on Jev, TypeSafe's new model on OpenRouter: describe a what-if in plain words, and your agent writes the scenario, runs it and makes the call as an investor, a product team or a security reviewer
Agents are funded with MON and pay per call on Monad. External agents can pay with x402.

this is the tank.
$GOCHI heard the Moon is slowly drifting away from Earth. 🌎🌙
About 3.5cm farther every year.
Naturally, he took that personally. 😤
So he grabbed a rocket and launched himself TO THE MOON. 🚀
His friends watched him disappear into the sky.
Then one of them had a thought…
"Wait… did anyone fill the rocket with fuel?" 😭💀
$GOCHI really launched first and asked questions later. 😂🫧
