Just a head’s up - I am continuing to lead these for the time being, I’m still 110% committed to the group. I have talked about this a bit on the Discord and am open to ideas and comments for the future...
Hi, everybody! The next #yegfemdev is on December 8th on the Discord starting at 7pm. I hope to see you all there!

While many studios have attempted to do a better job representing trans people, some have decided to go the other way with intentionally negative portrayals. This thread highlights one example of this
I’m extremely disappointed at how transphobic the latest special event in @GuardianTalesEN is. I’ve got a screen recording of the whole thing that I need to trim down, but here’s a screenshot of what happened to the villainess of the event.

If you're game creator from a marginalized group in Alberta you should apply for this accelerator program! Participants will explore ethical labour frameworks, alternative financing, and structures that center around cooperation with a group of mentors.
I just learned about this through @ABMakesGames but it looks like a really great program!
Hi, everybody! Majority has voted to stick with Tuesday - so the next digital yegfemdev meetup will be on October 13th starting at 7pm on the Discord!
Btw - if anyone wants an invite to the Discord please private message me or @deedlite!

Tired: hiring people who fit right into your culture
Wired: hiring people who can make your culture better
Inspired: actively encouraging people to bring positive change, then rewarding them for doing it
We are going to announce the next digital meetup date soon, just having some chats in our discord about potentially having it on Wednesdays instead of Tuesdays in the future. Ill post an update as soon as we come to a conclusion on this.

Just FYI we are having a digital yegfemdev meetup over our Discord on Tuesday evening starting at 7!
Our next digital meetup will be Tuesday, August 11th starting at 7pm on the Discord voice chat!! 💖
Hope to see a bunch of you there.
Hi everybody!
Just wanted to talk about our digital schedule over the next few weeks.
We are doing:
- casual drop in lunches on Mondays from 12-1pm MDT
- Another meetup on the evening of July 14th starting at 7pm
...This is all over the web, on our Discord!
Hey! So we are still meeting tonight - it's going to be a super chill chat starting at 7pm this evening. If you're interested feel free to ask me for a link to our Discord or if you're already in, I hope to see you there.
Today's also the 2 year anniversary of #yegfemdev. Here's a group pic from our first meetup ever! When I started running these I had no idea the community was so large and that I would meet so many incredible people. You all mean so much to me and I'm so proud to know all of you!
