People don't want AI forced on them. DuckDuckGo lets you choose. The result? Since Google's AI overhaul, our U.S. installs peaked yesterday at 76% above the pre-announcement average, and we broke our single-day search record. 🔥 It's not a blip, it's a movement. Fire Google.

This is important to say right now. Not liking the direction Google is headed? Come to the Duck side.

On this side, user choice matters. All AI features at DuckDuckGo are optional and links aren't going anywhere on our search engine. (We also don't spy on you, but that's a whole other thing.)
Google Search as you know it is over. The familiar blue links we’ve seen for 25 years are getting pushed out in favor of an “intelligent search box,” which Google is putting front and center as part of its all-in push for AI-powered experiences. The box will expand to accommodate for longer queries, and suggestions will be much more extensive versions of the autocomplete we’ve all seen in the search bar. On top of all that, “information agents” are planned to release this summer, allowing you to track changes made to sites, whether it’s product prices or news updates, and alert you without any prompting. Great to see the California Opt Me Out Act (AB566) signed into law, ensuring browsers offer users an easy way to tell websites not to sell or share their personal info. FYI: Our browser and extension have been sending this signal by default since 2021. spreadprivacy.com/global-pri…
