Thanks for the thoughts and reminiscences, everyone. I know how much you liked it, which made this a really tough decision.

I was going to have time to get Stellar back up this week, but then this. Sorry. :( :( :( xitter.cf/jkottke/status/6688075…

Apologies if @kottke's a little sparse this week; I got hit by a car (sounds bad but I'm fine!) and I'm down to one thumb for a short while.

2/ Stellar sort of breaks even now, but I'm not sure I can justify the extra expense for the new DB.

Ok, added more memory to the DB and Bob's your uncle. I'm probably not using that right, but I do have an uncle named Bob.

Oy, Stellar is down. For secret reasons. (I'm pretty sure I need a bigger DB server. Which I hope I can afford…)

Soundcloud embeds have been busted on the site for awhile; they are now fixed. See 3rd item here for example stellar.io/jkottke

No one has really noticed, but tweets have been slooooow getting onto the site for months now. That has been fixed. (And hi!)

Ok, looks like things are back up and normalish. Sorry about that. Also, I ate so many eggs benedict that I feel like I'm gonna boot.

I am reminded this morning just how good Twitter's API is compared to, oh, say, Instagram's. :(

A note about why it's been quiet around here and a tease of an upcoming new feature: stellar-status.tumblr.com/po…
