It’s a bit absurd that maintainers of critical OSS aren’t getting access prior to public release, and sometimes not even at release (Anthropic, ahem, still waiting on Mythos). It feels we are always playing catch-up, and we will keep being inundated by vulnerabilities…
Astra is now the best cybersecurity model in the world on @vercel DeepsecBench. It pulls off in 49 minutes what took Sol ~4 hours, with a better score, at nearly the same cost. It's more effective and 50% cheaper than Claude Opus 5 max. vercel.com/ai-gateway/leader…

🎂 I get to be 20 for exactly 15 more minutes so I'm going to spend them doing what I love - poorly writing i came out of some of the worst times of my life at 15 then i joined university built a startup sold it (officially-unofficially) became a software engineer (officially officially) at 17 got head hunted to work with a startup at 17 turned 18 on a flight somewhere over some ocean flew around the world for a couple of years broke my foot rather embarrassingly outside of the @fdotinc offices and got driven to an emergency room by @shafaq (thank you again for the kindness in that moment 🫶) dropped out of a masters degree in like 3 hours? record timing - truly sorry UU did a ton of charity, work, startups, things i couldn't have ever dreamed of when i was young and fighting for everything - and stories i can't even tell on the internet because they're too crazy 😆 i'm so glad to have randomly stumbled into Programming when I was 9, and then Startups when I was 12 - both of these things have given me everything I own and have in life. Anyways, I'm sure tomorrow will be the same as any other day in my life except for the fact i'll be able to drink at parties in SF (yikessss, i'm old...) I can truly say I'd rather be doing nothing else except whatever this thing we as a startup and tech community get to do every day of our lives - even if the failure is frequent and miserable on occasion, it truly does help us grow in unexpected ways as a humanity and as individuals thank you to everyone who helped me get this far, i couldn't have done it without any of you! 🥳

hey everyone 👋, i'm building a new marketing app for indie hackers. would anyone be up for spending some time with the product and helping me refine the ux? bonus points if you're building something new that you desperately need to find customers for and come from a software engineering (or other non-founder) background :) #buildinpublic #indiehackers

from an outsiders pov i can see why programmers are being haters about gstack by @garrytan but i tried it the other day and it’s honestly pretty good! it feels a lot different than any skill i’ve tried before now and if for nothing else than to force you to think about the stuff YC partners might tell you to then i think it’s pretty cool! the ux stuff he’s doing is also pretty cool!

the other big thing is that it’s also pretty cool to see Garry building stuff, he clearly cares about this a lot and it’s pretty well designed - good person to take inspiration from!
