Allowing offensive players to push a ball carrier forward and gain yardage while not allowing defensive players to push a ball carrier back and lose yardage makes zero sense

Cannot believe that Josh Allen’s offensive line and WR forced him to throw that wounded duck downfield into double coverage

Rams building a super team. Further proof that the NFL needs a salary cap immediately
Adam Schefter
@AdamSchefterAug 30
🚨 🚨 🚨 He’s back: Rams star Aaron Donald is coming out of retirement and returning to the Rams on a one-year, $20M deal that with incentives could be worth up to $30M, per @rapsheet and me. After two seasons away, Donald now will join forces with Myles Garrett, giving the Rams two of the top defensive linemen in NFL history.

OP in the tweet Tom quoted uses only offensive stats to explain why Sal Stewart should have a higher WAR than JJ Wetherholt, and therefore WAR is a meaningless stat. Neglecting that JJ is the best defender at 2B in MLB and Stewart is a net negative defensive 1B
Tangotiger 🍁@tangotigerJul 24
This is actually one of the BEST examples of WAR being useful Fangraphs has the gap at a more palatable, but still sizable, 2.4 wins If you understood WAR, you'd see its value

2nd time in the last 6 seasons the #Vikes have finished in the Top 10 in the nation in Team ERA. Doesn’t happen by accident. It happens with identifying the right guys and creating a real development plan that’s proven to work.

If you think about, Jimmy Dugan just getting the Rockford Peaches to game 7 of the WS was a coaching masterclass. He lost his best hitter mid season and his best player for games 1-6. Really pushed all the right buttons in that playoff run

Todd Interdonato: base stealing guru. If you’ve never watched his ABCA talk it’s worth your time

Boston College just stole 11 bags in 2 innings, tying NCAA record of 8 in one inning 😂 Duke catcher was throwing out just 3.2% of runners and Interdonato just full sent the gameplan.
