Should I make a gameplay video, or just stream the gameplay here live?

🗣️ Townsfolk talk about the weather, their town and their work. They talk a lot!
🔥 Chimney smoke drifting over the towns
🔨 Real building: your caravans buy stone and timber in nearby towns, a cart unloads it, and a crew of six sets every stone and beam by hand
🐔 A new henhouse starts empty: buy hens at market and bring them home

It still makes me giggle that since I posted this I lost like 7-8 followers and never reached 1.1k 😂😂
Major upgrade coming soon!
I felt like it was time to upgrade this. So here it is. I could afford to build a whole house today.
Packroad, a caravan trading life. (WIP)

Spent the day on the countryside: grass that moves with the wind, trees that sway, warmer evening skies. Before and after 🌿

Packroad dev log, days 15 and 16 of October:
🎨 New hand-drawn interface icons: coins, satchel, journal, map, tent, cart, scales and more, all redrawn
🛤️ Caravans give way on the road now, and cross bridges one at a time
🌙 Journeys take about a day between towns, so you camp at night. Night roads tire the animals and the bands see further
⏩ Speeds are 1x, 2x and 4x now, with a Journey length setting
❗ Every kind of quest has its own mark over heads and on the map
🌊 Mill water finally flows the right way
💾 Fixed: the game sometimes refused to autosave
Minor upgrades to walking and other animations in Packroad. A little environmental polish too 🌿
Before / after at normal speed. Little by little :)
This was a fun little project. :) POV of a dog in Packroad. Btw now you can pet dogs, cats, even donkeys. Have them as companions, and they will travel with you to everywhere!
Someone asked for a dog POV camera in Packroad.
We gave him the camera. He’s in charge of the tour now. Epic ending! 🐕📷

I got so much love and hate for posting this. I really appreciate the feedback givers both positive and the criticism. But directly insulting, calling my work complete trash, because I used AI is upsetting and overwhelming. I have been into game dev since 2020, I have developed few mini games on completely my own. Never published them because they were basic. But I liked them. Its hard for me to learn to write code or draw 3D then animate them link more than hundreds of systems especially when this is my 3rd job. Family, Aviation, and this. I think I will work offline for a while. I thank you guys who have been real supportive!
Honest moment: I've been building Packroad for months and I've run out of my own ideas.
It's a peaceful trading game. Donkeys, roads, nine towns, no combat.
What's the one small thing that makes you fall in love with a cozy game?
Packroad dev log, day 12 of October:
👣 The route on the ground is now footprints (yours and the donkey's) instead of painted dashes
📦 Every animal shows its own cargo: sacks, barrels, crates, baskets, bales
⌨️ You can rebind every key, and every hint on screen follows
🏘️ Five towns re-laid with new walls and halls, five bridges restyled
🧭 A new brass bottom bar: where you're going, what you carry, what you can do
🎵 A new road theme opens every journey

Replying to @zaxskylab
make a dog that roams arodun the world and then give it a POV cam so we can peacfulyl watch it in real time
#Packroad dev log, day 11 of October:
🗡️ Four bandit bands on the roads. Nobody fights: talk, pay, bluff, hide the goods or run
🫏 Hired crew walk with the caravan and hold the ropes
🪢 One person leads three animals. Want a fourth? Hire another pair of hands
❄️ Winter streets without the sand stripes
🚶 Stuck townsfolk free themselves after a few seconds
💡 The uncle's letters now say plainly who to ask about the missing caravan
and yes, I made a trailer. The first trailer!
