With the G League draft over, it's a day that involves a lot of analytics and breakdown to find players. For Avi Chauhan, Ahmed Jama & Nile Goodwin, who are in the front office side of the Mexico City Capitanes, I got to interview them about it at NBA Summer League!
We really talked about what it's like for the Capitanes to build their rosters, the G League International Draft, clinching their first G League playoffs in franchise history last season and much more into the analytics side of basketball!

some big names playing for LIU this year, but my favorite is JUCO transfer tyrell bowles
he followed up a productive EYBL season (11 pts, 11 reb, 2.8 stocks per 40; 67% TS) by crushing it for Uriah-Lincoln. 17/9/2 on 70% TS
it's an impressive, unique resume for a 19 year old

If the Bewleys become eligible, LIU would be at 14 players, leaving only one roster spot left. Right now, I wouldn't project either Bewley as a starter. Tyrell Bowels projects as a lock starter at the 5 with Jahki Howard as a projected starter at the 4. My guess if they bring in someone for that final spot, it will likely be a development player, someone who is not going to see much playing time.

at this point, it's an unmistakable team build strategy by the raptors.
this is a query built on the oreb-assist-stock framework, initially described in the tweet below.
targeting OAS forwards is nothing novel. stacking them to this degree certainly is.

in my pessimism series, i take a devil's advocate approach to the top 3 picks and expound on their weaknesses. how generational are they, really?

How do you maximize three-point rate and offensive rebounding at the same time?
