So basically, today PHP got two critical bugs that let anyone run code on your server without even logging in, which is bad, and then the details leaked before the patch was even out, which is worse, and it works on WordPress and MediaWiki and Magento and Joomla and Laravel, and Censys says like 1.5 million servers are running a version with no fix, so the NSA was like "take your system offline," and the FBI was like "take your system offline," and CISA and the UK and CERT-EU were all like "take your system offline," and then the Prime Minister of Japan, the actual Prime Minister, posted at 5:55 in the morning telling 48.8 million people to take their system offline, so everyone took their system offline, like the Dutch cybersecurity agency took its own website offline, and the Dutch parliament went offline, and the Port of Rotterdam went offline, and Finland and France and Denmark started pulling government sites, and Wikipedia went down, and Archive.org went down, and Asana and GOG and Something Awful went down, and the University of Vienna's webmail went down for some reason, and that's just PHP. Because GitLab also dropped a CVSS 10.0, which is the highest score they give out, for a bug that's been there since 2014, so that's every self-hosted GitLab for twelve years, and then LiteLLM 1.107.0 got hijacked and shipped a credential stealer and a remote access trojan in every single wheel and the Docker images, including latest, and you didn't even have to import it, just installing it was enough, and it's the second time this year, and then Railway paused every deployment on the entire platform because someone got into the environment variables, so now everyone has to rotate every secret they've ever stored there, and TiDB Cloud said someone was walking around inside with stolen credentials for basically a month and an extortion group says they took 10.6 terabytes, and Zeabur got breached for the second time in two months and is just shutting down, like the whole company, and Node.js patched remote code execution and a TLS bypass, and CISA says Plex is being actively exploited, and someone took over 300 Tor exit relays to steal SSH passwords, and SafePay ransomware has hit over 600 critical infrastructure orgs, and India's biggest bank filed a data loss incident, and Japan has been in an official state of emergency in cyberspace since October 9, which honestly explains the 5:55 AM post. Oh, and eMudhra, a certificate authority that's issued over 60 million certificates, whose entire job is proving websites are who they say they are, was supposed to be using private keys that are random numbers over a hundred digits long, and one of them was 4. Just 4. And the others were like 66 and 237. Anyway, it's Wednesday.
ironically this post is actually a great example of a way to torch your status

This is the absolute LAST post I ever expected to be making on the Monday of my bodybuilding show week.
After months of weighing every gram of food, tracking every calorie, hitting my workouts, doing my cardio, practicing my posing, and preparing myself mentally, physically, and spiritually to step on stage this Saturday, I spent this past weekend binge eating in a way Iโve never experienced before.
And when I say binge eating, I donโt mean I went out and enjoyed a cheat meal or ate a little more than I was supposed to.
I mean I completely lost control.
I kept eating long after my stomach was telling me to stop. I was physically uncomfortable, I wasnโt even enjoying the food anymore, and yet I continued eating.
And the scariest part wasnโt even the amount of food I consumed.
It was what was going through my head while I was doing it.
At a certain point, it felt like I was intentionally sabotaging myself. Like there was a part of me that wanted to ruin everything I had worked so hard for.
And Iโve spent the last couple of days asking myself WHY.
Was I afraid I wasnโt going to look good enough on stage? Was I afraid of disappointing myself? Was I putting so much pressure on myself that I subconsciously wanted a way out?
I donโt have all the answers.
But those are some uncomfortable questions Iโve had to start asking myself.
After the first binge, I told my coach Chris Elkins everything. Every single thing I ate. We talked about it, and the plan was to move forward, reassess, and take things day by day.
The next day, I got right back to my routine. Tracked my food, followed my plan, and genuinely thought I had moved past what happened.
Then nighttime came.
What started as one extra bite of food turned into another binge. And this one was even worse than the first.
I canโt even explain how disappointed I felt afterward.
Not because I had eaten food that wasnโt on my plan. But because I had reached a point where I felt like I couldnโt stop myself from doing something I knew was hurting me.
I woke up physically miserable. My face was extremely swollen, my body felt awful, and I was looking at myself in the mirror trying to understand how I had gotten here.
And now here I am.
Five days away from the competition Iโve spent months preparing for, roughly 10 pounds heavier than I was going into the weekend, and genuinely uncertain whether Iโm going to step on stage this Saturday.
Chris believes competing is still an option. Part of me wants to finish what I started. Another part of me wonders whether postponing until November would be the better decision.
Because I know how much work I put into this prep. And I also know that the choices I made this weekend have consequences.
Iโm not going to sit here and blame anybody else. Iโm not going to pretend it didnโt happen. And Iโm definitely not going to ask anyone to feel sorry for me.
But I also donโt want to spend the rest of my life beating myself up over two days.
I made those choices. I have to own them. And now I have to figure out how to move forward.
One thing this weekend has forced me to recognize is just how much pressure Iโve been putting on myself. Not only with bodybuilding, but with life in general.
Constantly working. Constantly thinking about whatโs next. Constantly being on my phone. Constantly feeling like I need to be doing MORE.
And somewhere along the way, I stopped giving myself enough room to just live.
So regardless of whether I compete Saturday or in November, some things are going to change.
Iโm prioritizing my sleep. Iโm taking real breaks from social media. Iโm giving myself time to recover. And Iโm going to take a serious look at my relationship with food and the pressure Iโve been putting on myself.
Iโm not going to pretend Iโve figured everything out in 48 hours. I havenโt.
And I donโt want to turn this into some inspirational story about how I fell down and immediately got back up stronger than ever.
Iโm still figuring it out.

Your tweets are so funny dude. They make me laugh so much man. Banger after banger. You should come to my event later this week. Well it's not actually my event, it's my friends event. Okay I was just kidding. It's my friends' friends event. I'm just tagging along. It's going to be sick dude. There are going to be so many AI researchers at this event bro, the scene is fire. You have to be there or else you'll miss the next big data company at the seed bro. Last week, I went to this other party and there was a brand new data company that was incorporated at the start of the party and already was at 100m run rate by the end of the party. It was insane. Dylan Patel led the pre-seed and the ingroup consortium of Elad, Lachy, Sholto, and Dwarkesh led the seed. The round was so hot man. You could feel the heat. Did I get into it? No no. I tried, but the founder wasn't taking angel checks. I'm not actually legally allowed to say his name, before we left the party, they made us all sign NDAs so we wouldn't leak the info to the VCs, but don't worry. I'll tell you, just keep it on the down low. Also just make sure to come to my party later this week, you don't want to miss the next ripper. Well, not my party, my friends' party. Oh actually, maybe let me just make sure that I can bring you as a plus one. You should definitely plan on coming though, everyone from the scene is going to be there. Even the Citrini guy that took the scorpion string straight on his dick. Apparently he had to go to the hospital, but its all good, the antivenom was real. Did you hear about the antivenom that Claude made for the sting? No I don't know anything about it, I just heard about it last week at my friends friends friends party. Just join the scene bro, it's going to be awesome, there's so many events. Every week is tech week when you're in San Francisco. I love it here so much. Want to grab coffee with a YC founder later? I can ask if you can be my plus one
