When we said we are voting DA on both ballots. Twitter bots were unleashed to insult us and call many of us stupid. Many even declared that we were delusional and that the DA won’t win. Today, the same people and bots are angry that we DID what said we’d DO! 💙💙💙

Guys, The DA took CT with an increased majority at 58% but I could resist noticing
1. The DA has not concentrated the leadership and success of the party on an individual, their system is consistently developing new leaders some who are very young for the future, this Young man who is Mayor in CT is likely President in two years
2. They have a robust operation model which keeps most of its representatives in check and performing, and they deploy the best people technically and professionally
3. They have a vision to govern SA something they have been working on for years and it's slowly coming to pass and yes SA will perform much better under their rule not because they are white driven but they have both skills and ability to deploy effectively
4. The politics of the Dza though not perfect is something to emulate, solid, results based, strong institutions, fact based
5. The sign off I can bet my last dollar all the other parties full of oldies have no plans for the next 20years, the DA has it's people in place already
💙 THANK YOU, CAPE TOWN! 🇿🇦
To every resident who placed their faith and trust in the DA, thank you!
Your support is a responsibility we take seriously. We remain committed to protecting the progress Cape Town has made, and building a city that works for all.
💙 Thank you for being part of Cape Town's journey forward!

1. My final advocacy thread urging people to vote for Helen Zille. This entails a vote for the DA. I have said before & I say again, JHB is dying because of the actions of its political elite. Helen is the only one with experience of a municipal turnaround. Without her JHB dies.
Another visit to the licensing department in Edenvale for me. I'm 100% certain if someone from the Ministry of Transport actually sat through what the public has to, they'd find it totally unacceptable. Queues for queues and whole days gone for what should be a 10 min process
Can anyone explain to me why booking and writing a learners license in South Africa requires 3 seperate actions?
1. find a suitable appointment online (may have to check back a few times)
2. Go queue licensing centre to pay
3. Return to licensing centre to write test.
If a party spends more time attacking the opposition than the ruling government, they’re just an unannounced coalition partner. They are perfectly happy with the status quo
Just an average day in the life of a Joburg Ward Councillor...
But we don't give up, because this city and her people are worth fighting for

I am voting for @helenzille to be our mayor in Johannesburg. I am from Pimville, Soweto. I am definitely voting Helen. We won’t have a City in 5 years if we fail to act now. Corporate governance makes organisations, especially big ones like the City.

⚡Yesterday Cllr Carlos was kicked out in council for highlighting the lack of service delivery. Today the DA is vindicated because there is no electricity in council and greater CBD of Joburg. Residents are urged to come out in their numbers and vote DA so we can get Joburg working again.

Welcome to the Johannesburg Council Chamber. If @Kenny_T_Kunene could explain why this robot is lying outside the building instead of at an intersection somewhere, that'd be awesome.

Whilst @MYANC seems to have declared war against good governance and service delivery, they seem too scared to put anyone in the ring against @helenzille

This is why Zille needs to win Johannesburg, & decisively! If she does not get an overall majority, the city & SA are doomed. Her victory & the clean up she will subsequently undertake is necessary.

*Day Zero is Here*
±25 homes in Sydenham are in the dark—not because of a cable fault, but because city suppliers won’t deliver a replacement mini-sub due to unpaid invoices.
This is what operational Day Zero looks like.
If you think your street or your mini-sub is safe from this breakdown, think again. Systemic collapse doesn't skip neighborhoods.
Don't wait for the lights on your corner to go out before taking action. Check or update your voter registration right now:

*Repairs on Northfield*
It's been a year of fighting, of begging, of pleading and finally we have repairs happening on Northfield. Well done to everyone involved.
Let's change the government though so we don't have a years wait in future, head to voteda.co.za/register/72 right now so we can enact that change in November
Thanks

Zille restores power to Fairland residents after 5months on a mobile generator.
For 5 months, at R22 000 a day. Fairland folks were getting power from a mobile generator burning diesel, when their minisub exploded and JHB Power couldn't "find" a new one.
Enter Zille effect.
Within one day of visiting the area and exposing the endlessly running generator, @helenzille called out Joburg Power, and guess what? They suddenly found a mini-sub.
It is unthinkable that this level of incompetence and ineptitude continues to characterize Joburg but it does. Every day.
And Zille is the only person taking it seriously, locking in and actually delivering to residents.
