One of my favorite training instructors used to tell everyone to reload with your "social settings ammunition" before heading home or back to your hotel.
Why?
A few years ago, one of his students stopped at a gas station for snacks on the way home, someone tried to rob him at gunpoint, and he was in a defensive shooting with a half empty training magazine (and no backup).
Luckily it worked out.
ALWAYS, ALWAYS save at least a magazine worth of your defensive ammo. Put it on your center console or on the driver's seat, if you can. Or, put it in your range back in a zipped pocket with your car keys underneath.
You are your own first responder.

You never fully expend your ammunition leaving shooting events, a car loaded up with recently tested guns and gear is a great target.

An illegal was caught at the border.
Released under Biden.
Killed by an FBI agent after allegedly firing into a crowd.
Oscar Isaya-Corrales, 27, from Venezuela, was shot and killed on Oct. 26 by an off-duty FBI agent.
He allegedly fired into a group of people.
A FBI agent on his way home stepped in and shot and killed Isaya-Corrales.
He was caught at the border 2023 and released.
Later he was arrested in CA and let go despite an ICE detainer, according to ICE.
In May he was charged with stealing necklaces from Nordstrom
He was carrying a Guatemalan passport that didn't belong to him.
He skipped court, and the warrant was issued in June.
Released.
Arrested.
Released again.
Warrant.
Gunfire.
At least no innocent people were hurt by him that day.
DEPORT. THEM. ALL.

THIS IS INFURIATING: A Louisiana man is facing 510 FELONY COUNTS after investigators say he recorded himself committing s*x crimes against children younger than EIGHT.
Shayne Austin Stewart, 33, of Pioneer in West Carroll Parish, was arrested Sept. 30 and now faces 10 counts of first-degree r*pe, 145 counts of producing child s*xual abuse material and 355 counts of possessing child s*xual abuse material.
⠀
Investigators allege Stewart photographed and recorded himself engaged in criminal acts involving at least two children under the age of eight.
The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force assisted the West Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Office in the case.
After authorities obtained an arrest warrant, multiple agencies began searching for Stewart across jurisdictions.
He was eventually located at a hotel in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, with assistance from the Hattiesburg Police Department.
Stewart was taken into custody there, booked in Mississippi and later extradited back to Louisiana.
He is now being held without bond at the West Carroll Parish Correctional Center.
The investigation remains active, and authorities are asking anyone who believes they may know of another potential victim to contact the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation.
Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill credited the West Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Office, Hattiesburg Police Department, Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and Fugitive Apprehension Unit for working together to locate and arrest Stewart.
Stewart is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

.@MBermanWI can masquerade as a Second Amendment enthusiast all he wants, but gun owners see right through it.

Interesting note that different parties on the anti-gun side have very different, and often contradictory, arguments for why AR-15s should be banned.
Virginia takes this angle: AR-15s are NOT arms, so the 2nd Amendment doesn’t apply at all.
Cook County won’t go that far. Its brief grudgingly allows that AR-15s might be arms, but only because they’re military weapons, the kind it clearly thinks civilians shouldn’t have.
Not that parties having different angles is rare in a legal setting, but we hope SCOTUS notices that the anti-gun parties can’t even agree on the foundational logic of WHY AR-15s can be banned, just that they should.

Oh bless his heart. Starting out strong with the whole "ARs aren't guns" argument - and that after Wolford!

She put the uniform on the way she always did. Badge, radio, the ordinary weight of a Tuesday night shift in Greenville. Detective Myiesha Stewart was thirty years old.
She had a young son waiting at home. The call that came in that evening of October 11, 2022, was listed as a disturbance. She answered it with the rest of the officers who were sent.
The shooting started while they were there. She was hit. Medics worked on her. It was not enough. She died that night, still in the clothes she had put on for work.
The department she served with issued the usual statements. Flags went to half-staff. People who had never met her posted the photograph of her smiling in the patrol car.
None of that changed the empty place at the kitchen table or the fact that a five-year-old would grow up without his mother. The ordinary milestones—first days of school, birthday cakes, the small arguments that parents later miss—became things that would happen without her.
Myiesha Stewart had chosen the job knowing the risk was part of the contract. She carried it the same way every other officer does: by showing up.
On that particular night the risk stopped being theoretical. The call ended. She did not come home. Her son lost his mother. The people who worked beside her lost a colleague.
Greenville lost a thirty-year-old detective who had spent her short career answering when someone asked for help.
That is the whole of it. The uniform is still in a closet somewhere.
The badge has been retired. The name is on a memorial wall now, next to others who also expected to finish their shifts. She did not. 🙏🌹

Deputies say an SUV ran a man down outside a Mississippi gas station, a man beat him, a woman FILMED it, and then the driver shot him. They left, but not before they ran him over AGAIN. 3 are in jail.
Ask yourself: do you carry? If not, why?

Marty Daniel and Daniel Defense
Marty flunked out of Georgia Southern engineering twice, then graduated in electrical engineering in 1985. He started Daniel Overhead Door and Fireplace in 1991 in Garden City, Georgia. In 1999, after a friend invited him to shoot an AR, he bought his first AR. In 2001 he designed the Big Hole Upper, had 100 made, kept 4, sold 96. He won the SOCOM RIS II rail contract after his father bet the family farm for a $250,000 loan, delivered the first RIS II in 2006, and built his first complete rifle, the DDM4, in 2009 at Black Creek, Georgia, with cold hammer forged barrels made in house. Inc. named Daniel Defense one of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. in 2012, 2013, and 2014, with 1000 percent growth over 10 years.
Handleit Take: Marty Daniel did not start with money or a big defense contract. He started with a rifle he wanted to fix, a part nobody else was making right, and a father willing to bet the farm. That is how American gun companies are supposed to be built: by shooters, for shooters, with no permission slip from a committee.

🚨DEAR GOD!!!
Police BEGGED a liberal prosecutor IN WRITING to keep an ILLEGAL ALIEN with 40+ charges locked up...
...he walked ANYWAY then 9 MONTHS later he st*bbed a 41-year-old woman to DE*TH at a bus stop in Virginia.
Meet Abdul Jalloh, 32.
A Sierra Leone national who DHS says was in this country ILLEGALLY.
DHS says he had been arrested MORE THAN 30 TIMES.
7News found MORE THAN 40 CHARGES in Fairfax County alone… ranging from R*PE to ASSAULT.
In almost EVERY SINGLE CASE, Commonwealth's Attorney Steve Descano's office DROPPED THEM.
2018: R@PE — DROPPED
2023: Malicious wounding — DROPPED
2024: Malicious wounding — DROPPED
2024: Steal property from a person — DROPPED
A Fairfax police bond alert said he had over 100 INVOLVEMENTS with the department.
In May 2025, Fairfax County police emailed Descano's office and BEGGED THEM TO KEEP HIM LOCKED UP.
He walked ANWAY.
POLICE WERE LITERALLY WARNING PROSECUTORS THAT THEY BELIEVED THIS MAN WAS GOING TO SERIOUSLY HURT SOMEONE AGAIN.
Just a few months later…
...on February 23, 2026, Stephanie Minter stepped off a bus on Richmond Highway.
Police say Jalloh stepped off that same bus with her.
She was found in the bus shelter with multiple st*b wounds to her upper body.
She passed away right there.
Fairfax County's own POLICE CHIEF, Kevin Davis, says her m*rder was "entirely preventable."
And it wasn't just the county.
ICE says it held Jalloh for 702 days back in 2018… then had to release him after a judge ruled he couldn't be sent back to Sierra Leone.
EVERY LEVEL had a shot at this man.
Now Cheryl Minter, Stephanie's mom, has filed a RECALL PETITION AGAINST THE PROSECUTOR!!!!!
She says she found out AFTER burying her daughter that police had been warning this office about him for months.
Her petition reads: "Thirty times the system had a chance to stop him, and then let him go."
WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS!!!!
Talked about this last night on here….
