And then he came down to Wembley Arena and performed with them again at their gig that evening. What a night!
'I want my, I want my, I want my MTV...'
13th of July was the day when Dire Straits called their friend Sting to perform along with themselves at Live Aid concert in 1985.
You have Sting backing your vocals. You have 72.000 people in front of you waiting impatiently to hear that very first riff on your Les Paul's fretboard.
It was on one of these days, 40 years ago, when every single person in this crowd living their best experience of their lives. You are a legend Mark.
Dire Straits and Sting performing the legendary, ground-breaking, and breath-taking song, Money for Nothing, live at Live Aid.
40 years had passed since this performance took place live and it still sounds eternal, it still is being listened by many people all over the world.
This is how rock and roll works in this world!

Defra Secretary Steve Reed says Inheritance Tax reforms will mean farmers are paying their ‘fair share’ of taxation to fund mental health hubs across the UK. But what about the mental health crisis this policy has already created on farmers’ health and wellbeing?

Keep saying it and hopefully @SteveReedMP @Keir_Starmer @RachelReevesMP @DefraGovUK @UKLabour might listen for once!
Wouldn’t it be lovely to hear our sec of state @SteveReedMP praising & putting his farmers FIRST instead, I fear, we have been sold out. I bet she can’t believe her luck. How little you know or care about uk farmers or agriculture. Example - uk ethanol uses uk wheat - sold out.
When do you ever hear our politicians talk our agricultural produce up like this @DefraGovUK @NFUtweets @SteveReedMP @ProagriLtd
Howard Lutnick, "We've opened up new market access.. Beef.. All the agricultural products"
BBC, "You mentioned beef exports, the UK currently doesn't accept American beef because of food standards"
President Trump, "The UK will take what it wants.. We're heading towards your system with no chemicals"
US Secretary of State for Agriculture Brooke Rollins, "This is going to exponentially increase our beef exports"
"To be very clear, American beef is the safest, the best quality, and the crown jewel for American agricultural for the world"
"The US agriculture industry has been treated unfairly"
President Trump, "They say our agriculture is second to none, people will have options, choice, they'll have more of it"
Are you listening @Keir_Starmer @RachelReevesMP that’s what support for your farming industry looks like

Keir Starmer said this in 2023:
“Every day seems to bring a new existential risk to British farming.
“Losing a farm is not like losing any other business, you can’t come back…you deserve better than that.”
He has betrayed farmers. He has destroyed trust with rural communities. The Labour government have created new existential risks to farming - inheritance tax on family farms & compulsory purchase of land & SFI removal. Shameful.

I can’t remember a time when farmers were treated so badly by those in power.
They were betrayed by the previous Conservative Government through appalling trade deals and cuts to basic payments, and they are now being hammered by Labour.

Tory MP @Ashley7Fox responds to the idea that farmers should stomach the government’s inheritance tax increases.
Remember this @Keir_Starmer
🚨The Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer was absolutely right that ‘Losing a farm is not like losing any other business. It can’t come back’.
Which is why @RachelReevesMP must be clear that there will be no changes to APR, as pledged by @SteveReedMP.
