First face-to-face contact as Ukrainian and Russian delegations fly to Oleshky
The Ukrainian and Russian delegations met face-to-face at Homiel Airport in Belarus before departing together to oversee a critical humanitarian operation in the Russian-occupied town of Oleshky.
The meeting marked the first face-to-face contact between the two sides for this operation.
Both delegations boarded the same aircraft to fly out of Homiel and begin the mission. They are accompanied by a Newsmax media crew to document the route.
The delegations are traveling to the heavily blockaded, Russian-occupied town of Oleshky in the Kherson region.
The goals are to clear heavily mined access routes, deliver desperately needed food, water, and medical aid, and secure safe evacuation corridors for trapped civilians.
The temporary ceasefire, brokered by U.S. First Lady Melania Trump, officially took effect on October 27 and has held.

There were also attacks on hotels in the city linked to PSNI recruitment events in 2013 & 2014. Sinn Féin picks and chooses which laws it accepts. Dissidents try and dictate which careers people in this country may pursue. Both are wrong.
A viable explosive device was delivered to an NI hotel because of events it hosts, including a recent careers fair involving the RAF.

For now, every interceptor Europe can use against a missile in space is American or US-Israeli, and comes with American export restrictions.
On Wednesday, Ukraine and the Netherlands said they had started work on an air defense project called Bliksem.
That is also the name of a European interceptor a Dutch-led consortium plans to test in space in 2027, built for missiles like Russia's Oreshnik.
Zelenskyy didn't say whether the two are the same project.
Ukraine's more urgent problem: it got 24 Patriot interceptors from the US in three months and needs about 350 a month.
