France: Violence and rioting, tied to ongoing protests, have recently occurred in France and may continue. The French government has indicated they will take steps to curb "illegitimate" protests, while those organized by groups such as trade unions would be allowed to proceed. Given the heightened concerns, avoid demonstrations and areas of unrest. Stay away from areas with large crowds or significant police activity. Numerous groups submitted plans for protests on Saturday, October 24. Americans in Paris for the NFL game on Sunday, October 25 should also exercise caution and be aware of their surroundings. While permits may be filed for demonstration routes, last-minute changes can happen and protests can occur outside planned routes. Recent demonstrations were violent and involved heavy property destruction, uncontrolled looting, and attacks on police. Police responded with crowd control methods including tear gas.
In Orléans, media report significant marches and protests planned for Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25.
Curfews in parts of France, including some neighborhoods in Paris and the vicinity, might continue. Curfew decisions are made locally, can be implemented with short notice, and restrict gatherings and free movement to some public landmarks.

🚨 Christopher Gregory, the watchdog who won the first-ever discipline of a Colorado chief justice, asked for one thing: a judge without a conflict.
Judge J. Keith Collins was the judge he said was conflicted.
So who decided whether Collins should step aside?
Collins.
His answer, October 22, 2026: DENIED. No explanation. Not one word.
Gregory’s filing lays out six reasons Collins should have recused, including that he’s a material witness, recused from two identical cases with just “I recuse,” and refused to disclose his conflicts.
And the Attorney General’s office? Representing the other side in Gregory v. Weiser.
Colorado’s own Supreme Court says a judge must be “free of all taint of bias.” Apparently that rule has an exception. 🧵

I purchased my house for $599k in 2018 for retirement. This is absolutely unsustainable. In 8 years Oregon has more than doubled my assessed value, taxing me on the already taxed money I used to renovate my home. Assessed values are supposed to be capped at 3% per year. This is robbery. If they allow the judge to make any kind of ruling on the merits of what they are asking for, down the road that is going to be converted into a claim that says "A federal judge said we were doing nothing wrong and we could count the ballots so how can it be said we were aiding and abetting a crime?"
That would pretty much end any hope of prosecuting any state or county official for sending ballots to ineligible voters.
