Surely we need to start throwing flags for QBs turning around to refs asking for roughing the passer calls. Second time Goff has done it this game.
There is no world this should be a roughing the passer

66, 68, 68, 65 (T17), 63, 62, 65, 68 (Win), 65, 66, 66 (T1 heading into final round. Quite the run for Austin Smotherman since switching to the @labgolfputters VZN.1i putter at the start of the FedExCup Fall. He could make it two wins and 12 straight rounds in the 60s tomorrow. Quite the putter change.

Corey Conners moved into the 2027 @Titleist Pro V1x this week in Bermuda. He's opened with 63-67 to sit T1, currently at 12 under. He's second in SG: Off the Tee (+2.5482) and 14th in SG: Approach to Green (+3.241) Also, Conners is putting with a traditional grip and is no longer cross-handed with his @PingTour Ally Blue Onset. He's gained nearly three strokes on the greens, a turnaround considering he's 90th on Tour right now. Conners is eyeing up Signature Event status for next season, and a few gear and technique switches look to be helping

.@NHL 🤝 @PGATour Ben Silverman leads in Bermuda using his hockey-stick-style putter. Could this be the next equipment trend out on Tour?

Ben Silverman leads in Bermuda, and he's using a @caliber_golf shaft on his @BettinardiGolf putter. "It's fun for me playing with a hockey stick as my grip for the putter, and it was rolling great today." The Canadian made nearly 125 feet of putts today.

The original M Grind is back with @VokeyWedges, releasing the Vokey Signature 60M wedge. It's a grind that has become one of the most popular on tour, and it all started nearly 30 years ago. The M Grind, Vokey’s longtime favorite, features heel, toe and trailing edge relief to provide shot-making versatility around the greens. The new Signature 60M recreates the original M Grind, combining the profile, sole dimensions and shaping with modern SM11 wedge technology. As Bob Vokey began working with PGA Tour players on their wedge play, he noticed many were playing full-sole wedges with little to no additional grinding. “When I first started, there were not too many grinds, mostly full-sole wedges,” explained Bob Vokey. “The only grinds were pretty basic. Players would want material ground off the heel, or they'd take the trailing edge off or reduce bounce in the toe. Those were the grinds.” So the result: heel, toe, and trailing-edge relief all in one wedge, creating the crescent-shaped sole that eventually became the M Grind. The club has plenty of design features indicative of the original wedge, with only 1,000 made. Each comes with a special bag tag and costs $399.

The original M Grind. Now available in extremely limited quantities. Nearly 30 years ago, Bob Vokey combined his three most popular tour modifications — heel, toe and trailing edge relief — into one wedge, creating the crescent-shaped sole that eventually became the M Grind. The new Signature 60M is a recreation of that original M Grind, merging the original profile, sole dimensions and shaping with a Slate Blue finish and modern SM11 wedge technology. Available now exclusively on Vokey.com featuring a Golf Pride BCT Cord grip with Vokey's signed initials as well as a BV Signature Series shaft band. Learn more: vokey.com/product/WM234.html

Club Check: @_raymondwill does a great job with his "Fit Check" videos, highlighting what players are wearing and how to buy it yourself. So we did the same with the defending champ this week. Check out Adam Schenk's winning WITB from Bermuda last year, with a lot of oldies!

Building the Bag: eBay, ChatGPT and a quick Google search helped Ross Steelman earn his @PGATour card. The No. 1 on the Korn Ferry Tour earned his spot by building his clubs, buying some off eBay, and asking AI for shaft advice. A deep dive into his setup below 🤔

It took 4-5 months of hard work with TaylorMade and @grasp_tech for Eugenio Chacarra to land on his Spider Tour S Long putter. Long story short (no pun intended), TaylorMade Tour Rep Alex Marine, who had worked with Chacarra during his time at @OSUCowboyGolf, found that the original Spider Tour S Long, which Chacarra moved to at the Nexo Championship, wasn't at the correct lie angle for the Spaniard and was affecting his stroke. "At Wentworth, myself and James Holley did some extensive work with him and found that the putter was too upright," Marine said. "He would aim left and toe it in an attempt to start it online, which created inconsistent speed. We found that if the putter was flatter, he would be able to get his eyeline more inside the ball and line it up better. "So we flattened it from 79 degrees to 76. Between the shape and stability of the Spider Tour S and the total weight of 870g, we built a high MOI putter at the exact spec to fit Eugenio’s stroke and the feel he was looking for with Pure Roll." With the putter in the correct spot, Chacarra continued his work on the GRASP Smart Putting gate to refine his stroke. "From there, it was working on his mechanics. He was hitting the ball and looking up straight for it with a short backswing. So I would hold his head while he was putting to keep his head down, and that got his path a lot straighter and his follow-through and backstroke a lot longer as well. He did a lot of work after Wentworth on GRASP to continue to dial that in," Marine added. Chacarra has now won three times this season, and is a heavy favourite for the Race to Dubai and a PGA Tour card for 2027, along with being on Luke Donald's radar for the Ryder Cup next year. Full Specs: • Loft: 2.5° • Lie: 76° • Grip: Winn Split Grip (12m gap) • Length: 47’’ CUT • True Path with a midline and outside short lines • Total weight: 870g • Head weight: 535g • Insert: Pure Roll

Michael Brennan spoke about his "mysterious" Titleist GTS 3W prototype fairway wood, which both he and Jackson Koivun have used during their victories over the last few months. "I feel like the spin consistency is better with that 3-wood for me. So when I toe the golf ball, it doesn't go too, too far. When I heel it, it doesn't spin too much and it stays relatively consistent. "I feel like there's a little bit of a right bias miss for me, which I think is good. I typically play a cut with the longer clubs, so knowing that it's not going to go left super often gives me freedom to swing hard." Comparison pictures below of the GTS lineup.

The GTS Proto has a single sole weight, unlike the rest of the lineup, which might contribute to a flatter center point in the sole design overall.

Michael Brennan switched to this @ScottyCameron GOLO 6 Tour Prototype in March. At the time he was 162nd in Strokes Gained: Putting. Since the change, he’s won twice on Tour, including this week in Japan, and sits 73rd (probably higher once the BayCurrent Classic stats are included). Brennan was drawn to the softer, rounder GOLO shape and the way he could swing it through the putting stroke.

Hideki Matsuyama has another Scotty Cameron in play this week in Japan: a one-of-one built to recreate features from multiple older putters he’s taken a liking to. Of course, we couldn’t find out the exact details – some things are just not meant to be shared, I suppose – but the putter was described as a “greatest hits” wrapped into one. The tri-sole is really unique and a great way to help the putter sole rest on a single central point. Something that Matsuyama apparently likes. Hand stamps are 10/10.
