It's great to see @Ed_Miliband addressing the role of debt repayments in limiting global equality efforts! But more can be done, particularly looking at the role of illicit financial flows and the UK's role as a hotbed for illicit finance. theguardian.com/politics/202…

Today is #WorldSightDay! 👁️Eye health belongs to the broader #NCD and #UHC agendas. It’s time to #ActOnNCDs, including eye conditions, and leave no one behind. More than 2.2 billion people worldwide live with blindness or vision impairment. including 1.1 billion people whose vision loss is preventable or yet to be treated. Without urgent action, this could rise to 1.8 billion by 2050. We can no longer treat eye health in isolation. Integrating eye health into stronger, more inclusive health systems is essential to achieving health for all. The upcoming first-ever Global Summit for Eye Health, taking place on 2 November, offers a landmark opportunity for world leaders and partners to turn commitments into action and accelerate progress for people living with avoidable sight loss.
