This is going to be epic. 1929, 1987, 2026.
With 2 more Hindenburg Omen signals added this past week, the current cluster is up to 8. A single H.O. by itself may no matter much, but they tend to be more important when they cluster together. It has even caught the attention of MarketWatch. marketwatch.com/story/the-hi…

Democrat sweep.
Hawkish central banks.
Oil five year high and rising.
AI imploding.
Retail gamblers ALL IN.
Trump late stage mental breakdown.
Buckle up for the craziest week of the year.
Massive shit going on all over the world.
High rates are bursting the bubble.
Massive deflationary shock coming with governments who won’t react fiscally to begin with.
Auction results - Sold To Listed
- Sydney 24.6% (30.8% last weekend)
- Melbourne 40.9% (36.7%)
Sydney absolutely collapses to its worst result since my records began.
If this is reflected in SQM's results come Tuesday, this is a market deeply in trouble.
Melbourne a strong bounce vs last week and a massive divergence developing between the two cities.
Although to what degree the now required auction disclosure rules in Victoria could be boosting clearance rates is unclear.
Overall auction volumes in both locales remain depressed compared with this time last year, which is playing a major role in supporting the market.
Without this factor results would be significantly worse.
If you want the normal full round up let me know in the comments, I'm out for the night.
Both cities markets remain in a deeply challenging place and on these numbers within the zone of major price falls.

$QQQ has never had three -10% corrections in a single year that wasn't a bear market.
We had three in: 1987, 2002, 2008, 2022
This year, we've already had two. Even though a bear market is not my base case, if we get a third I'd have to start incorporating that possibility seriously.
I know the market is typically bullish after the midterms but one scenario that we need to consider is the Dems winning the midterms and Trump going all out in Iran because he has nothing to lose.
Light crude oil already crossed a high we haven't seen in over a decade. If Trump resumes intense strikes after the midterms, oil will spike more, yields will spike, the Fed will likely go back to hiking, and stocks won't stand a chance.
An ugly Asian session Monday would make for a most interesting night.

NDX ended the week on a support line.
Definitely a critical level for both bulls and bears.

The Nasdaq 100 is certainly perched at an interesting juncture.

The crash started last week.
It will soon reach the acceleration phase.
And then all of this bull shit will be replaced by dead silence.
Between 19 and 28 October?
Oil is away. South Korea and Indonesia crashing. Property and stocks insanely valued. Credit markets exploding.

I weep for Helen Haines as she fights for life after deliberate attack on her. She is a caring person of huge integrity who represents her entire electorate of #Indi as a genuine independent with total commitment to her community. She & husband Phil are valued friends of mine.

The glorious spectacle of Timothy Miller wearing a burka
spectator.com/article/the-gl…
Brendan O'Neill, Spectator 16th Oct
Crack open the warm bitter. Dust down the bunting. Put Elgar’s ‘Nimrod’ on repeat. For at last we have something to make every true English heart swell with pride. It’s the stirring sight of that 76-year-old geezer who was arrested for wearing a burka attending court yesterday in… a burka. Oh, this blessed plot!
His name is Timothy Miller. He’s from Southampton. On 12 September he was arrested at an anti-immigration protest for parading about in an entombing niqab. The cops accused him of using the Islamic veil to conceal his identity. Not so, he replied: I really am an ageing student of Allah.
He repeated this defence at Portsmouth magistrates’ court yesterday. He lifted his veil – I’m cracking up – to confirm his name, address and date of birth. He then said he is ‘studying’ Islam and he wears the burqa to gain a ‘greater understanding’ of the faith. His draping veil was flawlessly accessorised with a fetching black handbag. . .
The sourpusses of the Islamo-left will wail ‘Islamophobia!’. They’ll accuse him of ridiculing Islamic dress. But the burqa is ridiculous. We didn’t need a pensioner from Southampton to tell us that. It is cruel, brutish, backward, sexist and profoundly anti-social to make women drape themselves in public like this. If you’re alarmed when a white male pensioner pulls on a sackcloth but cool when a brown-skinned woman is forced to do so, you might want to have a word with yourself.
It’s possible this case will force some serious head-scratching in public life. Like, why is it potentially a crime for a British pensioner to cover his face but fine for a Muslim woman? Is it because she believes Muhammad flew to heaven on a winged horse and that women must wholly surrender the self to divine decree? If I embrace such truthless dogmas, can I also wear a mask on the street? . . .
