Strengthening Knowledge, Compliance and Collaboration: ATS & DE Conference - Centurion The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) recently hosted the second leg of its annual Air Traffic Services (ATS) & Designated Examiners (DE) Conference at its offices in Byls Bridge Office Park, Centurion. Following the Cape Town leg earlier in the year, the conference brought aviation professionals together for meaningful engagement, knowledge sharing, and discussions on strengthening the ATS profession. The programme provided an opportunity to deepen understanding of the regulatory framework governing Air Traffic Services, with a focus on the applicable Civil Aviation Regulations and Technical Standards. Contributions from Aviation Medicine (AVMED), alongside discussions on Part 139 and ATS Licensing, highlighted how different areas of aviation oversight intersect and contribute to the broader aviation safety framework.
