Autists really gotta learn this one reliable trick: 1. BRIEFLY tell someone about something you’re interested in (as in, keep it under a minute, or ideally under 30 seconds) 2. WAIT to see whether they solicit further information 3. IF they only act polite, STOP talking about it

Learning that the average (neurotypical) human first makes decisions emotionally THEN rationalises them with biased logic helped me realise that 90% of the time, atheists didn’t hate the religion, they just hated bad treatment from people claiming to be proponents of the religion

In college, I joined an atheist/agnostic club. They spent Every. Goddamn. Meeting. dissing Christians & whining about how oppressed non-believers are (no we aren't 🙄) One day, I couldn't help myself. I said, "I don't believe, but believing in God gave me such a sense of purpose. I miss having a reason to get out of bed in the morning, you know?" The room went silent. No one could respond. Never went back 🤷‍♀️

When we were fasting 20 hours a day when Ramadan was in the summer, they called our religion barbaric. When it reached the colder months with the shorter days, they said it’s too easy lol. Well thank god we’re not fasting for you losers.

I have a natural inclination to want to provide for a woman I like. It happens almost instantly once feelings start to develop.
