This is how I learned that Hjalte Froholdt is the starting center for the Arizona Cardinals
Based on their colleges. Can you guess this NFL offense? 👀

It's always confused me why UCA and Arkansas State don't do this in football and men's basketball Glad to see Shulman leaning into this strategy
"What we've done is we want to be the destination for Arkansas kids. If Cal doesn't want them, we want them." The UCA men's basketball team has nine Arkansas players on the roster as they look to build on their historic season last year. Coach Shulman said they want to keep the in-state talent in-state. Period.

Trivia: can you name all nine from memory? Four guesses from me: 2016 Mizzou, VA Tech 2024 Oklahoma State 2025 Memphis What else?
🚨SEC’s biggest choke artists🚨 Teams with the most losses after having an 80% or more chance to win in the fourth quarter (using ESPN in-game probabilities since 2014) I take no pleasure in Arkansas’s pain. They have been through enough..

Tie goes to the offense and that’s pretty clearly a tie

Do you attempt a FG here if it comes to that? Would be around 42 yards. A punt would leave Vandy with about 25 seconds and no timeouts

WHAT A PLAY
Tim Cramsey can really help his case by dialing up a good 4-minute offense here

Still can't get over this: Hogs open 3rd quarter with 5 Off Tackle and 4 Leads runs, totaling 84 yards and a TD with 7 successes Then after going up 14-7, we get 1 Off Tackle and 0 Leads. Other 9 runs go for 19 yards Literally just quit running what was working
Arkansas Play Calling Weekly Deep Dive (thread) TLDR: There is not a visible effort to move away from low-success plays, that of which are also not setting up the next play. Interestingly, we did the opposite in the 4th Quarter. Arkansas vs. Tennessee: 3rd Quarter Successful Plays were NOT called in 4th Quarter - instead, the least successful play call of the game and of the season was ran the most. 3rd Quarter: 14 points, 98 handoff yards. Our top two plays accounted for 9 of 17 plays and hit 67% success. - (5) Off Tackle - Outside Zone Read / 80% SR / +0.662 EPA/Att - (4) Leads - Outside Power / 50% SR / +0.747 EPA/Att 4th Quarter: Off Tackle, 4 for 5 in the 3rd, got 1 call. Leads got none. OZ Split, 0 for 2 in the 3rd and our least successful high-volume play this season, became our most-called play. - (1) Off Tackle - Outside Zone Read / 100% SR / +0.751 EPA/Att - (0) Leads - Outside Power - (4) OZ Split - Outside Zone Read / 25% SR / -0.558 EPA/Att (2 on 3rd and 10+) Also worked: PA Boot, 2 for 2 / +2.446 EPA/Att. The 4-yard TD in the 3rd, 20 yards on 3rd and 1 in the 4th. SR = % of plays that stay on schedule. EPA/Att = points added per play. How it fits the season 👇 #WPS

Another Arkansas-Louisville alliance going on in the comments
This should be the most hated on player in the country. He thinks he’s the shit, he talks like he’s the shit and in reality he just is shit.

Harsh but fair
“I’ve been diving into Arkansas games day by day and focusing on offensive line, physicality, and the offensive coordinator and play calling,” Dent told Rivals. “Really hard to extend my talent or allow someone to get hot when you have backs going in and out every three snaps." on3.com/rivals/news/running-…

Say what you want about the quality of the Silverfield hire, but how in the world could you possibly know that Charles Huff has Memphis "in a better place"? They've yet to beat a team with any kind of pulse
Memphis AD Ed Scott says the Memphis Football program has a $7 million NIL/rev share budget this season, which is 2nd in the AAC. He also says former Memphis HC and current Arkansas HC Ryan Silverass had the same $7 million roster budget last season. Charles Huff already has this program in a much better place, despite his budget remaining the same while spending power in the CFB portal decreased significantly. Arkansas hiring away Ryan Silverfield while he was on the hot seat grows wilder by the day.

I am open to the idea that a single football-focused GM in an NFL-like role is the best option, but Stanford's experiment is still searching for proof of concept
Stanford put Andrew Luck in charge of its football program, including the money, and gave him the power to fire the head coach. He used it. Meanwhile in Fayetteville, football's money runs through four different desks and none of them is winning. Let's talk about it. 🧵👇
