I remember making 40k with a wife and two babies and having nothing left at the end of the month after rent and groceries, and I think about it still every day. If you’re struggling to make ends meet and keep your family fed with a roof over their heads, that struggle is simply the most pressing and urgent matter in your life and nothing else really comes close. This is something that many Republican politicians and conservative “thought leaders” still do not understand and maybe never will.

Much will be written about last night, but what is clear is that Florida has built a massive sea wall against the blue tsunami thanks to the conservative leadership of @RonDeSantis. All the statewide Rs won in one of the worse election cycles in history, thanks to a 1.5 million voter advantage built over the last 8 years of good conservative policy.

The presidential veto limits damage nationally - other than huge spending because who cares about the debt lol - but the states were hit hard. TX of course but also AZ, IA, GA, etc – just lots of bad policy coming. The silver lining is that 2028 will be a correction the other way—as long as the GOP nominates anyone other than Vance. But the Senate is lost until 2032, so I hope Thomas and Alito got on their treadmills this morning.

Kamala winning 18 senate seats means Republicans almost certainly lose the senate in 2 years. Marathon Devin had his caucus adopt maps that would literally put them in the minority and they re-elected him majority leader anyway. FFS.

They will destroy everything we achieved during the Walker years. Republicans had the chance to impeach Justice P for her obvious ethical breach. They declined (because they might lose seats) opting instead to lose a bunch of seats without impeaching her. 🤡

The first step to solving a problem is admitting there is a problem. Trump won Wisconsin, but other than that, it was another disastrous election for @WisGOP. Lost 10 Assembly seats, 4 State Senate seats and a US senate seat. It’s time for a deep dive. It’s time to win!
