We will be starting our therapeutic social work course next month. My fave longer course! It is such a nurturing, supportive & creative course & small so that we can have a really relational connecting experience. Half f2f in gorgeous setting in Milton Keynes half virtual. With @Adoptionplus today delivering training on strengths and self esteem. Loads of tools and techniques from Gilly the giraffe and my strengths cards but with lots of talk of possible hazards including toxic positivity. Great multidisciplinary group.

Wonderful day back w our gorgeous @Adoptionplus group so much reflection, thoughtfulness, passion & more. Last time we focused on org culture & wider context we are operating in & today an intro to relational & developmental trauma.

Back at the fab @Adoptionplus with my fave co facilitator @JoanneAlper we met our 7th cohort of our several months therapeutic social work course. We focused on well-being, modelling the model & org culture. So much buzz & such a varied brilliant group from across the UK.

Thought provoking & emotional conference today, bringing together researchers, practitioners & those with lived experience! Key messages centred on the importance of services that keep shame low; understand potential for change and recognise that this work takes time!!!
