Looking back at the early days of Bitcoin education in El Salvador fills me with nostalgia, especially seeing how far we’ve come today.
Many people talk about a "lack of education," but the truth is that this country has spent years doing everything possible so that all of El Salvador can understand the beautiful truth of Bitcoin. I was there from the beginning, and these photos tell part of the real story.
📸 The Birth of a Circular Economy (2022)
In these photos, you can see the 2022 @MyFirstBitcoin_ (Mi Primer Bitcoin) team. At the time, directed by @Alejandro28292 , we gathered in Berlín, Usulután, where he shared his vision of building a circular economy in the city.
@Bitcoinbeach supported every student and attendee by rewarding them with satoshis for taking the class.
I served as the Master of Ceremonies for the very first graduation in Berlín and helped educate the first local businesses.
Inspired by Alejandro’s vision, part of that early team decided to stay, work, and build—and they have done an extraordinary job ever since.

You’ll also see @investbychrist (charlie). He reached out to me one day all the way from Australia, wanting to discover the country. He crashed at my place, and I took him to Isla La Pirraya to visit @quentin_ehr , who had moved there to carry out massive grassroots work on the island.

It hasn't been easy, but it birthed incredible stories. You'll see Joselyn in the photos—hardly anyone knows her today, but she was one of the very first Bitcoin educators. As a Usulután local, she was likely the only educator to visit every single municipality, trekking to remote communities and crossing rivers on foot just to bring the knowledge.
Thank God for Bitcoin. ⚡
