There is speculation in this piece about the Phillies being a dark horse candidate to make a play for Skubal.
The cost of Skubal is not going to be worth it for the Phillies, even if they traded Luzardo or Sanchez to fill other needs. Putting all of your available budget into one player isn’t that smart.
