NYS Comptroller DiNapoli warns of a $34.3B shortfall by 2029. This year’s $258 Billion NYC-focused budget could have addressed it, but didn’t. Governor Hochul and her fellow Democrats left Albany, gave hidden cut powers, and hoped voters wouldn’t notice.

Hochul is playing the worst kind of politics waiting to call a State of Emergency for Suffolk County! She calls one for a t-storm in NYC but roads are washed away, 7 houses have no access for EMS, neighborhoods are flooded and shes “waiting to see if it fits the criteria”?!

Congratulations to Island Harvest on being selected for a Legislative Add Funding Award under the HPNAP! This award roughly equals their ability to purchase 3,650,000 lbs of food/supplements, & support approximately 3 million meals that will reach our neighbors in need across LI.

Saturday, Israel was subjected to surprise missile attacks on civilian targets and taking hostages. These attacks are uncivilized and deserve our complete condemnation. My heart and prayers go out to all caught up in this horrible situation.
Israel is at war with terrorists who share the same mentality of the 9/11 hijackers. I proudly stand with my New York State Senate Republicans who stand with Israel and against their sympathizers in our midst.

It’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month. If you have been pushed, hit, verbally abused, raped, sexually assaulted, or threatened, DO NOT WAIT - report it. And if you’re hesitant, there are people ready to help.

I was pleasure to present a New York State flag to Lindenhurst Knights of Columbus Council #794 -OLPH for their new council building in Lindenhurst. The gift of the flag recognizes the Knights' works of charity in the community. I look forward to working with them in the future

#ICYMI: LI Senators @SenDeanMurray @AlexisWeik @SenatorRhoads @CanzoneriFitz9 @SenatorMartins @senatorlanza called on the Governor to rescind the sanctuary state & city status & urged all state democrats to stand behind them calling on the President to secure the southern border.
I’ve been a State Senator for a few years and just when I think nothing could shock me anymore, along comes another BAD idea. This doozy belongs to Governor Hochul and NYC Mayor Eric Adams, who in a moment of great virtue signaling decided that our state and NYC should be “sanctuary” destinations for migrants. Now they’re overwhelmed by the more than 100,000 migrants who arrived on our doorstep demanding help. Really? Was that a surprise? She declared a “state of emergency,” marshaled over $2 billion in taxpayer funds for the effort, and even mobilized the National Guard. Despite all this, despite reports from our overwhelmed neighborhoods, despite thousands of hard-working New Yorkers raising their voices in protest, THEY DO NOTHING. They refuse the obvious solution: reverse our sanctuary status and tell President Biden to secure our border. So my fellow lawmakers and I sent Hochul a letter, demanding – pleading – hoping – for common sense. Hang on tight. It’s gonna get bumpy because we’re fighting this every step of the way.
