when i was a quant dev we ran mid-to-low frequency L/S signals, so i never saw real market making. i’d read a lot of HJB papers and assumed that’s how desks did it. only learned otherwise from people on here. easy to go in circles if you aren’t in the know

having the incredible fortune of pressing buttons for a living then shitting on everyone attempting the same
opus actively concealing and not following prompts lately, it's infuriating
one month it's fine and incredible to use and next month it gets nerfed and actively sabotages your work

i want to start building saas products, but almost every idea i come up with already has a solid open-source alternative.
even when i see things i could improve or add, it feels like i'm just building another clone with a few extra features.
how do indie hackers find something worth charging for without reinventing the wheel?
would love to hear some advice from people who've been through this.
I made $107,142 in October 2026
⭐️ TrustMRR — $42,531
📈 DataFast — $31,103
🏴☠️ Ship or Die — $18,990
🐥 Twitter — $5,619
🧑💻 CodeFast — $4,134
📧 MailCheap — $2,050
⚡️ ShipFast — $1,694
🕵️♂️ Stalkr — $290
🍜 Indie Page — $205
🛡️ ByeDispute — $202
🧾 Zenvoice — $118
🎞️ YouTube — $91
🦐 SuperShrimp — $68
🌱 HabitsGarden — $19
📚 WorkbookPDF — $19
💩 PoopUp — $9
I added a new revenue stream with MailCheap.AI, and PoopUp is back.
That’s 16 revenue streams with 0 employees, 90% profit margins, and time for the gym every day.
A new personal record, I think 🤗

thought everyone had their agent build their own cli...apparently not.
Before: ~40k tokens and 6 file reads just to get oriented. 30s
After: one command, 2k tokens. 5s

are you on some kind of plan? because $18k is crazy. i also recall ur post about kimi orchestrator and deepseek v4.1 implementations, this isn't it, right? just curious because my claude code is now ass and refuses everything...

is this why a bunch of people behind claude code all resigned at the same time recently

Anthropic:
- trains Claude on stolen books and scraped data
- blocks users from recreating existing games
Copying is only okay when Anthropic does it.

have there been any recent changes to the models or their safety guardrails? seeing a noticeably higher refusal rate. could this be due to stricter guardrails or increased over-refusal/false positives?

prompts getting refused left and right now
"glad" to see claude back at blocking everything
the /statechart skill in pstack v0.15.36 is now stable and ready for use! it's best combined with /create-formal-verification-skill to abstractly model state machines and distributed systems to find bugs.
the skill contains a mini tlc compiler that parses, lowers to a small IR, and has a backend that outputs mmd syntax. if you want you can also ask your agent to create charts in whatever style you like, the skills tells it to use pele.run/ which is very themeable so you can make blueprints, hand drawn encyclopedia illustrations or whatever you like
here's a chart of the /statechart skill and 2 real bugs i just found. try it out and let me know what you think!
