As a Forest fan, I have zero love for United. My two penneth is: their culture has been suffocated. First by the Glazers and further by Ratcliffe. United is being led by unlikeable, passionless, cynical and penny pinching characters. They set the tone and, like a waterfall, it flows down, through every channel and into every corner. They have sucked the life & soul out of that football club. It’s only their hardcore, longstanding fanbase keeping their identity alive and yet they are doing everything to get them gone with their draconian season ticket policies.

Briefs specifically naming managers and with comments about them. Would almost be like they were already in contact like I stated during the international break. It’s a shame we are here yet again, but it is what it is.

Calling the owners and board out now. Build him a statue
🚨🚨🗣️ Bruno Fernandes: “At this club, there’s too much focus on what’s been done in the PAST, but we’re not those people anymore. The club and the players need to understand that. “Unfortunately for us - especially when it comes to the players - those who join expect to win trophies, win games, and reach the highest level, but unfortunately, that’s been very DIFFICULT at this club in recent years. That’s the situation.” #MUFC [@SkySport via @NathSalt1]

Carrick is likely getting sacked but why do the people who made our last three managerial decisions get to stay and decide our 4th manager in 3 years.. what have they done to be trusted they can get this next decision right!

It’s very obvious Bruno’s drop in form is down to losing belief in the club which is sad. But he has enough credit in the bank to say what he wants and unfortunately he is speaking the truth here. INEOS will want fans to turn on Bruno here, but Bruno got told to reject other offers and stay here to see us be the only top club refuse to spend over £65m on a single player this summer! He realised the ownership lied and were not bothered about doing the work to compete.
Bruno Fernandes to Sky Italia: “At this club, there’s too much focus on what’s been done in the past, but we’re not those people anymore. “The club and the players need to understand that. “Unfortunately for us - especially when it comes to the players - those who join expect to win trophies, win games, and reach the highest level, but unfortunately, that's been very difficult at this club in recent years. That's the situation.” #mufc

Bruno & Martinez calling out the ownership in the last week. Maguire and Shaw asking for help in the summer. Anti INEOS tweets being liked by players. How will our ownership respond… by trying to shift the media narrative and put blame on anyone but themselves.

Michael Carrick now in peril but issues at #MUFC run far deeper. Glazers foundation for crumbling skyscraper; Ratcliffe gives unique challenges; Berrada, Wilcox + City links open to scrutiny. Only run of results since INEOS arrived is interim Carrick ⬇️ nytimes.com/athletic/7713278…

Fuck it.. ovbs won't say who because I don't want to get anyone in trouble but a Man Utd player liked this tweet a month ago... They're all deffo angry at this ownership and the shambles window we had. Will say one thing it was not Martinez who liked it. A few hours later they must have went back to unlike it (Probs done it in moment went back protect themselves or something idk).
Said in summer we needed a new CB and LB and defence was a serious concern especially physically... the fact INEOS did not adress this is shambles. Look at what INEOS have done to the Women's team, Nice and Lausannne....

Swear he left Newcastle because he needed a break... why come to Man Utd if you needed a break, why work with INEOS and Glazers. I would question Eddie's intelligence if he said yes to joining this club, with these awful owners.
🚨 | Eddie Howe is the FAVOURITE for the #mufc job. He is admired within Old Trafford, and Howe would be interested in the role as he wants to return to the Premier League as SOON as possible. [@reluctantnicko]

Why would you keep a Sporting Director that has hired and fired managers every season with no sign of progress and only regression? It does not make any sense.

The Glazers are the biggest finessers of the 21st century. Bought Manchester United through a leveraged takeover, saddling the club with debt rather than themselves. Then sold a minority stake to INEOS, pocketed billions and handed over responsibility for football operations. They’ve somehow managed to extract enormous wealth from United while distancing themselves from accountability for what happens on the pitch. What’s next? - @sjatfkb

Jim Ratcliffe in 2024: “We’ll decide that style, plus the CEO, sporting director, probably the recruitment guys, what the style of football is and that will be the Manchester United style of football, and the coach will have to play that style. We’re not going to oscillate from a (Jose) Mourinho style to a Guardiola style. That’s not the way we’ll run the club. Otherwise, you’re changing everything all the time, you change your coach, you’ve got the wrong squad — we won’t do that.” What have Man Utd done.. gone from Erik Ten Hag to Amorim to Carrick. I mean the styles could not be anymore different.

When INEOS came into Man Utd, they talked about building a clear identity, recruiting players to fit that identity and appointing a head coach who suited it. Yet all three managers they’ve appointed have been completely different stylistically. Just proves it was all waffle. There was never a plan. I mean waiting a year for Ashworth to sack him 6 months later confirmed they had 0 plans. They don’t know how to run a football club. Ten hag said it, Martinez said it… everyone can see it!

Nah, this is a club that has a clear sense of identity v a club that has been struggling for one for years. This game will show it

Full time review - 7 games without a win, and humiliated by Como - No identity, press doesn't work, nobody knows how to move. It was like a training session for Como - Amad only positive. - Carrick for some reasons thinks a back five could resolve this then we go concede 3 goals - Defence is awful. Can't be mad at de Ligt but the defence is so stiff. - Weird subs, Weird calls. - Carrick will be gone soon, but I am sure Wilcox stays and the cycle continues.

This has aged so bad
I think from a purely football perspective my favorite part of the Sir Jim quotes were this: “We’ll decide that style, plus the CEO, sporting director, probably the recruitment guys, what the style of football is and that will be the Manchester United style of football, and the coach will have to play that style. We’re not going to oscillate from a (Jose) Mourinho style to a Guardiola style. That’s not the way we’ll run the club. Otherwise, you’re changing everything all the time, you change your coach, you’ve got the wrong squad — we won’t do that.” This to me is the crux of everything wrong with United. When you talk about a squad not fitting a manager and needing 3 years it’s because the club just picked at complete random with regards to a style. No long term thread for how the squad was being shaped, which exists beyond whether a manager survives or not. The next manager continues the vision not resetting it. That’s how you spend a billion for nothing. You spend it going 6 different directions instead of one.
