“We must not look away,” say actors Riz Ahmed, Joe Alwyn and Ruth Negga joining the call for urgent donations to the DEC Middle East Humanitarian Appeal. The UK public has raised over £20 million so far but the needs are overwhelming. Despite the challenges, DEC charities @BritishRedCross @RESCUEorg and others, together with their local partners, are there right now, providing lifesaving aid but they need more funds. A huge thank you to Riz Ahmed, Joe Alwyn, Ruth Negga and all those supporting the appeal. donation.dec.org.uk/middle-e…

Scraping the 2 child limit is an important step in combating Child Poverty. 1 in 4 children in NI living in poverty vs the UK being the 6th richest economy in the world. These facts are contradictory. Poverty is a political choice! I support @NIAntiPov calls! Do you?
.@NIAntiPov working today to highlight the damaging impact of the two-child limit. Now 1 in 10 children impacted (around 10% of all children in NI). Children losing out on £3k per year and are more likely to be in poverty @ChrisNICCY @EndChildPoverty @savechildren_ni
