When an organisation shows you what it is, believe it the first time you see it. Practice driven organisations don’t shut out people with lived experience, steal their ideas then badge them as their own. Beware the fake tanks. The only thing that matters to them is their profile

Could you be our next Chief Executive?
We're looking for a passionate and experienced leader to drive forward our work to make community power the dominant idea shaping policy and practice at national and local levels.

"Whipped Peter" 1863, was an African American slave who escaped a Louisiana plantation in March 1863, gaining freedom when he reached the Union camp near Baton Rouge. The incredible power of this image is the dignity of that man. He's posing, expression indifferent.

Pick up Jehan Helou's pioneering new book if you can. She was a guest at our Radical Films season at @othercinemas and she's a powerhouse of radical feminist resistance.
Jehan Helou’s new book tells stories of women freedom fighters in their own words, stories untold except maybe to their families and in female circles, even though they are stories that helped determine the course of the Palestinian cause
