Many are asking about the attack on Iran and whether this connects to Bible prophecy. The Bible doesn’t tell us the date of Christ’s return, but it does tell us to watch. Ezekiel 38 mentions ‘Persia’—which many Bible teachers identify with modern Iran—as part of a future coalition against Israel. So events like this don’t make me set a date, but they do make me take Jesus’ words seriously: ‘When these things begin to happen, look up.’ The right response isn’t panic—it’s prayer, faith, and getting the gospel to as many people as possible, because only Christ can give real peace.

Special delivery! 🛻 This morning, at our Charlotte processing center, a precious couple delivered 100+ hand-made cars to be included in shoebox gifts this year. We are incredibly grateful for donors who use their God-given abilities to bless children in need!

Rescued Twice—Once from the River, Once for Eternity.
As floodwaters surged through the banks of the Guadalupe River, Ram Rodriguez didn’t hesitate. He tied a tow strap around himself and his neighbor Joe—who has Parkinson’s—and led Joe and his wife, Lilia, to safety.
“I just thank God that I was there and able to help,” Ram said.
But a second, even more powerful rescue was on the way.
While Samaritan’s Purse volunteers worked to clean out the couple’s devastated home, chaplains shared the Gospel with Joe and Lilia. When asked if they wanted to be saved, Lilia exclaimed, “I want that!”
With tears in their eyes and joy in their hearts, Joe and Lilia prayed to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
“I’m so happy!” Lilia said. “I now want to follow Jesus the rest of my life.”
Out of devastation, Jesus brings comfort, healing, and eternal hope.
As of July 15, 2025 Samaritan's Purse has...
-Received 265 Requests for Help
-Served 45 Families (so far)
-Witnessed 14 people accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior
🧡 Thank you to the 600+ volunteers who have served alongside us to care for couples like Lilia and Joe. To join us as a day or overnight volunteer please visit spvolunteer.org/?utm_campaig…

My son @EdwardG1911 was in Kerrville, Texas, today where @SamaritansPurse is responding to help, and he was able to talk with many who have been devastated by the flooding. There is so much destruction, pain, and need—but many heroes have emerged to help their neighbors. Take a minute to watch his interview with @WillCain on @FoxNews and see more. He’s right—there's power in prayer.

Today, I visited the community of Kerr County after the recent Texas floods and the devastation that took place along the Guadalupe River. This one is hard for me... there is so much human loss here and families are grieving. I first ask you to pray, pray right now as you read this. There are no words that can comfort these families, but I do believe in the power of prayer. @SamaritansPurse is here to love our neighbor and more importantly remind them that Jesus loves them. Pray for these communities and if you want to physically get involved, then go to spvolunteer.org.

Searching through the trash is the way of survival here at the Koshe dumpsite in Ethiopia. Any toys children may have were once on the trash heap.
So when shoebox gifts full of new toys arrived, hearts were overwhelmed. For many, it was their first gift ever! 🎁
We praise God for the hope of Jesus shared through each shoebox! 🙏

We are getting closer and closer to moving families, like the Mitchums, into their new homes! New teams of volunteers come in every week ready to love the homeowners, build high quality houses, and help these houses feel like true homes.
Our rebuild staff requests prayer for wisdom on how to continue putting God first in these projects, and for the homeowners to be encouraged!
