Solomon again caught out ball watching and missing his marker who goes on to score - ahockingly bad for a pro footballer
Sorry but Solomon is ball watching and losing his man…all 3 of Southamptons goals are coming from his man

It's depressing that time and again policymakers spout nonsense about gas markets and then use these misconceptions as the basis for policy
My new report sets out in detail how gas markets actually work and why prices are not "global"
Once you understand that there's not even a single European price never mind a single global price, and that UK gas prices now tend to be lower than European ones, it becomes obvious that we need to maximise UKCS production
Yet we use pessimistic projections based on a highly hostile fiscal and regulatory landscape as "proof" the UKCS is on its last legs and is becoming irrelevant
Alternative forecasts from @OEUK_ show significant upside potential if a more encouraging regime was adopted - the geology is the same but the economic context can be changed
The first of my six recommendations is to fix the broken understanding of how the gas market actually works - do this and much of the rest becomes pretty clear

To me, it seems a stupid approach. In Yesterday’s game the number of time we had either a throw on near their penalty area or a free kick over the half eay line we passed it back to a defender and then our goalkeeper seemed far too negative for a side who are expecting promotion
Although i am as pleased as any true fan if WHU with a 6:0 thrashing i am still baffled that before we scored (& im every other game) the team will always default to passing backwards. It is a disease modern football

Ok its ‘moan about the railways’ time again…took 4 hrs instead of 2 hrs to get from Park Royal to home…reason? All trains from London to Salisbury cancelled for hours. I feel for the poor sod who took his/her life but why close the whole line when they could just shut 5 miles

BROKE AT 18, HONOURED AT 30
Christopher Head OBE @chrish9070 took over the West Boldon Post Office near Sunderland in 2006. He was 18. Youngest sub-postmaster in Britain. A teenager running a business while his mates were still working out how to do their own laundry.
By 2014 the Horizon system, built by Fujitsu and treated by the @PostOffice as basically infallible, decided Chris owed £88,000. Not because he stole but because a computer said so, and apparently that was good enough for one of Britain's most trusted institutions.
Post Office questioned him under caution. Searched his home. Treated him like a criminal for months. Then dropped the case because there was nothing there.
You would think an apology might follow. Instead the Post Office turned around and chased him through the civil courts for the same £88,000 it could never prove he took.
His name was mud in his own town. He could not find work locally after being accused of robbing his own community. So he left. He rebuilt his life in Greece, because starting over somewhere nobody had read the headlines was easier than staying where everyone had.
Years later Chris Head OBE received his honour for campaigning on behalf of more than 400 other sub-postmasters caught in the same scandal. A genuinely remarkable thing to do for people the state had already failed once.
He said the honour does not pay the bills, which might be the politest way anyone has ever described getting a medal instead of the money they are actually owed.
This is the Horizon scandal in one life. A teenager builds a business. A faulty computer system destroys it. The institution that built the faulty system chases him for cash instead of checking its own code. He rebuilds abroad and comes home anyway to fight for everyone else the same system chewed up.
Britain loves handing out medals for surviving things it should never have allowed to happen in the first place.

A man who spent thirty years reviewing sports cars has taught this country more about its own food than every minister, union and campaign of the last fifty years combined.
Here is what five series of Clarkson's Farm put in front of the public, and not one line of it is opinion.
- A thousand acres, worked flat out for a year, made a profit of £144. Under forty pence a day.
- By year six the same farm was losing money, weather and prices turning a projected £37,000 into a five grand loss.
- A crop can drown in the field after months of work and take everything with it, and nobody is coming to help.
- The farmer is the only man in the food chain who sells at a price he does not set. The supermarket sets it. He takes it or he takes nothing.
- The council can shut his restaurant, refuse his car park and stop him selling his own food off his own land.
- The subsidy he was told to lean on can be closed overnight, the big estates first through the door, the small farms locked out.
- One outbreak of bovine TB can lock a farm down for months, banned from buying or selling a single cow, through no fault of its own.
- Rear pigs with real care and the butcher's maths can still make them a loss, so the animals go and the loss stays.
- The margins are so thin that a rich man buys farmland not to earn from it but to shelter money that earns elsewhere. The shelter exists precisely because the farming does not.
Now hold that against the story you were sold. Greedy farmers. Subsidised for doing nothing. Wrecking a countryside they are somehow also the custodians of.
There is no profit. That was the reveal. A show that set out to be funny accidentally filmed the slow strangling of the people who feed us, and the country watched it happen and finally understood what its cheap food actually costs.
Clarkson has now admitted the plainest part out loud: it is the television money keeping Diddly Squat alive, and most farms do not have a television show. Britain grows about sixty per cent of its own food and the average farmer is past sixty. That is why both numbers are heading the wrong way.
It took a Lamborghini tractor and a man doing it for a laugh. Fifty years of earnest campaigning could not manage it.

SEXED UP AND COVERED UP
Imagine starting a war because you copied and pasted someone's old university paper and forgot to fix the typos.
You don't have to imagine it. It happened.
In September 2002 the UK government published a dossier claiming Saddam Hussein could deploy weapons of mass destruction within 45 minutes. Almost no evidence behind it.
A second dossier followed in February 2003. Colin Powell quoted it at the UN as proof of Iraqi deception. One day later Channel 4 News (@Channel4News) found large parts of it were copied almost word for word from a thesis by Ibrahim al-Marashi, a PhD student. They even copied his typos.
Alastair Campbell (@campbellclaret) had already demanded the first dossier be "sharpened" and made "revelatory."
John Scarlett's intelligence committee went from admitting there was "very little intelligence" to signing off firm WMD claims. No new evidence appeared in between.
David Kelly knew the difference. The government's own weapons expert told @BBC journalist Andrew Gilligan (@mragilligan) the dossier had been sexed up.
He was named as the source, grilled by MPs on live television, and found dead days later.
Hutton ruled it suicide. Doctors and MPs have disputed that verdict ever since, and no inquest was ever held.
Parliament voted 412 to 149 for war anyway. The Chilcot Inquiry took 13 years to confirm what a journalist and a dead scientist had already said.
Nobody went to prison. Blair runs a think tank now (@InstituteGC). Kelly doesn't get that choice.

I feel compelled to comment on the Enzo F sending off as i cannot stand cheats in any walk of life. If you watch the replay Fernandez doesn’t once take his eyes off the player, he launches full on knowing exactly what he was doing simply to leave his mark on the player. #cheat
Argentina have repeatedly shown us everything football shouldn’t be.
Today France and England showed us what it should be.
No hate between players, no filthy fouls and trying to actually harm each other, no political statements, no favouritism, no disgusting behaviour from fans just the beautiful game.
