It is encouraging to see Republican candidates traveling across Texas, connecting with voters, and working hard as we approach the November general election! Yesterday morning, Wise County welcomed Nate Sheets, Republican candidate for Texas Agriculture Commissioner, as his statewide bus tour made a stop in our community. Nate shared his vision for the future of Texas agriculture, and we had the opportunity to pray over him and his team as they continue their journey across the state. From there, I joined Speaker Dustin Burrows and fellow legislators for the One Party, One Mission Bus Tour in Collin County, including my dear friend, State Representative Keresa Richardson. Keresa is a woman of strong Christian faith and a dedicated servant leader whose commitment to her constituents was evident throughout the day. It was a privilege to stand alongside her, the Speaker, and our fellow elected officials as we visited with voters, listened to their concerns, and discussed the issues shaping the future of Texas. It was a pleasure welcoming Classical Conversations Bridgeport to the Texas State Capitol! It’s always encouraging to see students taking an active interest in Texas history, state government, and the legislative process.  It was an honor to connect with students from HD 64, answer questions, and encourage the next generation to stay engaged in their communities and government. Thank you for taking the time to visit the Capitol and our office. We hope you enjoyed your visit and left with a greater appreciation for the history, responsibilities, and opportunities that come with serving the great state of Texas!
