An Oxford platform for anti-Black racism. Nathan Cofnas claimed Black professors at Harvard would virtually disappear under a meritocracy. Now he’s invited to lecture on DEI at Oriel College. After Jason Arday, where is the reckoning? jamradio.uk/news/2026/10/23/…

Did those who arrived on the Empire Windrush form themselves into a Standing Reception Committee, or a West Indian Immigrants Welfare Service, to ensure safe passage into British society for all those arriving after them in the decades that followed? What exactly connected those arriving by sea and air in those four decades between 1948 and 1988 to the Empire Windrush? To what extent did the arrival of the Empire Windrush feature in their political or welfare rights activism, or their resistance movements, when they formed: the Campaign Against Racial Discrimination, the West Indian Standing Conference, the Black Unity and Freedom Party, the Black Panthers, the Black Liberation Front, the Association of Women of African and Asian Descent, the North London West Indian Parents Association, the various island-of-origin societies, e.g., Trinidad and Tobago Society, St Kitts & Nevis Association, Jamaica Nationals Association, Guyanese Association and the rest? What Windrush identity was being claimed, or Windrush generation label being applied, when people from the Black Commonwealth joined with white folk and formed these Community Relations Councils (later Race Equality Councils) following the 1968 Race Relations Act? - Prof. Gus John, The Dystopian Future of Windrush

I am NOT a Descendant of the Windrush! The SS EMPIRE Windrush is a 🇬🇧 coloniser ship. My Elders & Ancestors are not define by this 🇬🇧 Coloniser ship. I am a Descendant of Afrikans enslaved in the Caribbean; & brought to 🇬🇧 under colonial domination. Prof. Gus John breaks down how the manufactured Windrush identity and Popular narrative are tools of the 🇬🇧 State design to subdue Afrikan-Caribbean people & ensure we are enticed in to allegiance & celebration of 🇬🇧; rather than resistance to 🇬🇧 and it's continued (neo)colonial exploits. May we heed... Ase 🙏🏿🖤 Watch full: youtu.be/c2rRoMUt5_w?is=A45B… #Awoah

Nigel Farage would not answer my questions around the racism and sexism in his party when he walked through an Essex town centre today. Instead his ‘bodyguard’ whom I told not to touch me, told me, ‘I can do whatever I want’.

I definitely didn't make this Damilola doc for everyone to try to get revenge for being bullied when they were young... There's a bigger conversation to be had and hopefully we can all sit down and have it. Trauma and pain will always be passed down and transform.

You're watching millions of people, including more than 40,000 children are in labor camps and cobalt mines in DR Congo. Congo is bleeding, It has not ended over 5 million people are dead. Women are being force-fed human flesh. And the worst Ebola outbreak on record. Nearly 70 million Congolese out of 110 million live on less than $2.15 a day in the richest land on Earth. Meanwhile, every billionaire makes over $200,000 a day in royalties on Congo's mines and modern day slaver! The world must remember that we live in a society, not an economy.

My friends, you crossed oceans and helped build nations. You sent money home and taught your children to love a country some had never seen. That love must never end with one generation. We are moving to extend citizenship by descent to the great-grandchildren of Bajans. They, too, must have the choice to come home. So bring the children. Bring the grandchildren. Let them walk where their grandparents walked. Let them feel the love behind the stories. To our family in Toronto and across the world, you are ours. We are yours. There will always be a place for you here. One people. One Barbados. Bajan to the bone.
