Something about the way @andersoncooper has covered the story of Hersh Goldberg for the past almost 3 years, beings tears to my eyes.
You can see how behind the very professional and polished TV icon there is a heart filled with empathy and love.
It is sad that so few people in media have shown similar care for the hostages and their families.

NEW @WSJopinion piece:
How two hours, snow boots, & basic oversight turned a $4M broadband project into $0.
D.C. asked @NTIAgov for $4M to connect just 55 “unserved” locations.
That’s $70K each in one of the most broadband-dense cities in America.🚩
Something didn’t add up.🧵

I don’t envy the job @ArielleRoth had in cleaning up BEAD and to make sure it actually served the purpose Congress intended, but she knocked it out of the park. Billions saved but still connecting unserved Americans 💪💪
Excellent @WSJopinion piece by @ArielleRothNTIA who gives a common sense clinic on how to sensibly save taxpayer money. Information Superhighway to Nowhere wsj.com/opinion/information-…

The previous administration greenlighted projects with astronomical costs and little scrutiny. The Trump administration’s rigorous oversight, by contrast, has driven down costs and prevented unnecessary money from being spent, writes @ArielleRoth

MUST WATCH: 14-year-old Chaya Dadon is a hero. During the Bondi Beach terrorist attack on a Hanukkah celebration, Chaya was shot while shielding children from danger.
She says, G-d told her to save them:
“I felt like Hashem was sitting right next to me, holding my hand and whispering in my ear, ‘This is your mission, go save those kids.’”
Chaya, the daughter of Chabad shluchim Rabbi Menachem and Shterny Dadon, later appeared at a Bondi Beach National Day of Reflection ceremony, where she said:
“I don’t feel like a hero. Everyone was a hero that day.”
Doctors say the surgery to remove the bullet was successful, and she’s expected to make a full recovery.

“In the merit of the miracles of Hanukkah, we will return home.”
It’s more than the heart can bear. Footage shows six Israeli hostages lighting Hanukkah candles in Gaza’s tunnels, filmed in December 2023, just two months after their abduction. All six were shot at point-blank range in those same tunnels in August 2024.

President Trump shares a message on the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
“I ask all Americans to commit themselves to the American values for which Charlie Kirk lived & died. The values of free speech, citizenship, the rule of law & the patriotic devotion & love of God.”

Heidi and I are devastated and heartbroken.
Charlie Kirk's murder was an act of unspeakable evil. Charlie was a close friend; we first met when he was just 18, and Turning Point was a nascent idea.
Charlie was courageous, brilliant, compassionate, and powerfully honest. He was a strong Christian who boldly proclaimed the Gospel. Charlie loved our country deeply, and we will forever remember him and honor his legacy.
Heidi and I are praying for his wife Erika and their two young children, and all of his family and loved ones. May God's comfort and love be upon them. May Charlie rest in peace, and may he forever rest in the loving embrace of the Lord.

Yoav, 5 years old, waited a year and a half for his best friend, Ariel Bibas. He wrote him letters, saved a Batman costume for him for Purim, and kept asking, “When is Ariel coming back from Gaza?”
When his parents had to break the news that his friend would not be coming home alive, he looked at them and, with the innocence of a five-year-old, simply said, “My heart hurts.”
