For the witch may pray in ribbons and oak leaves. Pray in three drops of blood given to the field. Her supplications move from lips to wind, from silk streamer to the old gods' ears. The land itself will hear her petition. – #EmilyBanting, 1982 #WitchWednesday

Normally I only get to write about folklore through the voice of C.L. Nolan, so a massive thank you to @AlexLangstone who let me write about in the foreword to his new Essex folklore masterwork 'The Liminal Shore'. Because folklore matters - always. #FolkloreThursday
