The trickster is the part of the psyche that disobeys rules, mocks authority, crosses boundaries, and laughs at the collectively agreed-upon illusion. He lies, steals, seduces, jokes, provokes, and creates disorder. In his conscious form, the trickster liberates and increases consciousness. He punctures ego inflation, jabs at dogmatic beliefs, and forces the rigid parts of you (and the outer world) to budge. He appears when your worldview has become too rigid, as a reminder that you know nothing - and that your highest form is he who knows that he knows nothing. An unconscious trickster archetype will posses the psyche. The trickster possessed man has compulsions to destroy everything sacred in his life. He sabotages relationships when the risk of vulnerability appears, quits his job when responsibility starts to set in, imagines and manifests conflict when life becomes peaceful (dull to him), and heralds impulsivity as the expression of freedom. He will be prideful of his mischievous, independent, humorous nature - but it is all a defense from his true self. But when you finally accept your true self and feel the pain behind all of the walls the trickster put up, the trickster becomes divinely inspired. He can violate a social norm without being judged. He can laugh at himself without losing respect. He can step into conflict and walk the whole room down. The integrated trickster lets you destroy your persona when it gets boring - all with a laugh.

James Blake took to his Instagram story to call out the state of the music industry's metrics, one by one. "Can't trust a review because blogs/mags stopped making money so journalists now get paid off by labels…can’t trust a comment section…YouTube numbers…streaming numbers…Can’t even trust a song that was made by human beings,” he wrote.
