I think it's not the right approach actually. Everyone deserves a second chance, and I believe in giving one. Ai+ is just a year old brand and surely they have made mistakes, but the real value lies in seeing if they have amended their mistakes or not. nothing is another example who also made many mistakes during their early stages. Founders said something and did something else. Even biggies like Microsoft, Google, Apple, etc. also made many misleading claims in the past. Apple Intelligence & AI Siri capabilities were way too misleading during promotion and advertisements. They even got sued for that. Bend Gate, Battery Gate etc. are other shady things Apple has done in the past. No brand, literally no brand is DOODH KA DHULA. Now said that, am not saying what Madhav Sheth and Ai+ did or claimed was justified or how they handled the bashing was right. But they do deserve another chance in my opinion. What Sheth and his team is trying to build in 2026 really takes a lot of guts and courage. Starting a new smartphone brand in India is no less than a s#icide. Ai+ just needs to be transparent with its approach going forward and rest is totally fine. Tech community should not boycott Ai+, but appreciate and accept the open review challenge. No other brand has dared to do the same with their products in recent times. Suggestion for Madhav Sheth and folks at Ai+ - Please avoid marketing claims which you cannot fulfil. - Avoid making any misleading claims which you cannot backup. - Should focus on Specs to Price ratio as their main USP instead of privacy or Chinese thing. - Gradually start talking about their UI features after properly testing them. - Trim down on using the deskhbhakti sentiments as marketing material, instead win customers and people trust by delivering high-quality products. - While you have all the rights to defend your products or image legally but it's better to answer the criticism or even bashing with your work. You can debunk all the criticism or reply to critics via a youtube videos just like what Carl Pei does on nothing's official YT channel. Creators have always complained about the brands approach of giving closed door access of devices to a selected group of media and creators only. What Ai+ is trying to start here is something very nice and should be supported. Anyone can approach the brand for a review unit, this openness is very welcoming. More and more brands should adopt this system of allowing anyone to apply for a review unit.
