So happy this rockstar team will be adding extra garden and composting experiences to Olivewood students. Can you ever have too much worm time?
@BCKPrograms
Z team checking on the VermiCompost 🪱 At Olivewood Elementary. Also transplanted some seedlings 🌱 so that students can learn how each grows. (Mint, oregano, jalapeños 🌶️, tomatoes🍅 , lettuce 🥬)
Quite an honor for our group! We love what we do and to be recognized for it is the cherry on top!!!
On 11/15, OMWD presented its 2023 “Pure Excellence” awards for stand-out efforts by community leaders that contribute to water supply reliability, promote water use efficiency, & raise awareness of our services. bit.ly/3SGcKxK

Our student interns are out in the world moving and shaking (and conserving and protecting and reducing...). We couldn't set them up for success without the support of this awesome City. The @CityofCarlsbad is a great place to live and work. Thanks for the shoutout!!

Students who understand the harmful impacts of pollutants on our waterways are our greatest asset in promoting more sustainable actions. Not only will they modify their own behaviors now and in the future, but they will encourage their parents to do the same. ❤️🌎
Hear from the next generation of environmental leaders on the importance of keeping our waterways clean and preventing pollution in #Carlsbad! 👏🏽🌿🌊

A big shout out to the @portofsandiego for supporting ecoliteracy in National City. BCK's Water Watch program is making a big difference all around San Diego County.
Proud to stop by Kimball School today to witness students’ unveiling of their ocean protection program signature project. Another great example of how #NSDnow is positively impacting our planet.
National School District flexing their sustainability muscles. This district has come such a long way since 2018 🌎💪🏻💪🏻❤️ It's an honor to be a partner!!

El Camino Creek 3rd graders putting in the work with this take-home assignment to see how many sustainable holiday tips they can convince family and friends to take on. Inspired by @RepublicService this is just the start of EUSD's ecoliteracy BMPs❤️ @eusdtweets
Started the morning @EUSDFarmLab listening to 16-year-old entrepreneur, @gitanjaliarao, inspire hundreds to embrace change and ended the day with our interns preparing @eusdtweets to kick-off a change to their waste diversion program: +organics recycling. I love today's theme!
Bravo!! Zayetzy has managed a composting team of devoted 5th and 6th grader all year at @PanthersPW Elementary School. They divert approx. 15lbs of food from the landfill daily using one large-scale worm bin and three soil savers. We are so proud of her! #zerowasteschools ❤️🌎💪🏻
Love my job with @BCKPrograms Teaching students how to compost is fun. Today my @PanthersPW group processed 2 bins. How beautiful it looks. #bckprograms #palmerwaypta #palmerway #PTAProud #PTA4Kids @PalmerWayPta
We love working with this district, this school, this teacher and THESE KIDS!!!!! #perfectstorm encinitasadvocate.com/lifest…
Just another way @eusdtweets supports student-powered environmental stewardship! These Air Pollution Action Team students aligned their solution with the strategies listed in @EncinitasGov Climate Action Plan.❤️🌎 #ecoliteracy #EarthDay2022 #EarthDayEveryDay
With the help of @eusdtweets Maintenance/Operations team, our #pauleckecentral 6th Graders were able to plant three new trees to honor Earth Day. Can't wait to see them grow. @PECPTA
