To our CAF brothers & sisters in arms, we honour your dedication, service, & sacrifice. You've worked with us through tragedies, walked/stood with us during memorials. Our deepest condolences.
We stand with you, @CanadianForces.
May your #Fallen RIP. May your injured recover.
Our bugler this year was BC Conservation Officer Evelyn Robertson @_BCCOS, performing both Last Post & Reveille.
Officer Robertson was the first woman to hold the role of Western Conservation Law Enforcement Academy Sgt Major, in WCLEA history.

#HonourThe135 #WhyWeGather
The #BCLEM appreciates the ongoing support - for the last 3 years - from @MSAFORD & #FraserValleyAutoMall.
On behalf of the Fallen & their families, we're extremely grateful for this generous donation, as we continue to recognise and memorialise their sacrifices.

ALT Photo shows representatives of Fraser Valley Auto Mall businesses, as well as uniformed members who represent the various law enforcement agencies of the BC Law Enforcement Memorial Committee. The group has formed up behind an oversized cheque, in the amount of $10,000. The cheque shows the logos of all the Auto Mall members.
We've been working on a few items that we’re almost ready to reveal.
Thanks for your patience, and stay tuned!
Also, #SaveTheDate for the annual #BCLEM Memorial: Sunday September 27th 2026.
On 24APR1960, @SaanichPolice Cst Robert Norman Barry KIRBY was called to attend Colquitz Provincial Mental Home (now #VIRCC) to look for Raymond Harold, a deaf-mute patient who’d broken into 2 buildings, stolen 2 rifles + ~100 rounds of ammunition, & fired @ unarmed staff. 1/4
Harold escaped the area & shot a psychiatric nurse in the shoulder. Fortunately the nurse survived.
A short while later, Harold was shot in the leg by Cst MYCOCK, & surrendered.
He never stood trial, due to his mental state. 3/4
A married father of 4, Cst Robert Norman Barry KIRBY was born in #Winnipeg, buried in #Saanich.
He served #StBonifacePolice; @wpgpolice; & @RoyalCanNavy - 1 of youngest men ever to achieve rank of #PettyOfficer.
