🚀 IF YOU COULD ASK AN ASTRONAUT ONE QUESTION….. What would it be?
On Saturday 7th November, NASA astronaut Doug Hurley will be joining us at Cranfield, Bedfordshire, for our Autumn Space Social 2026.
Doug piloted the final Space Shuttle mission aboard Atlantis in 2011 and commanded the first crewed SpaceX Crew Dragon mission in 2020. Two very different spacecraft. Two extraordinary chapters in human spaceflight.
But what would YOU want to know?
What was it really like to fly the Space Shuttle?
How different was Crew Dragon?
What goes through your mind in those final seconds before launch?
Or perhaps there's something completely different you've always wanted to ask someone who's been to space.
We don't script our audience Q&A. Your questions are your questions. So, here's one for you:
👇 If you had the microphone, what would you ask Doug Hurley?
Join us on Saturday 7th November for your opportunity to hear his experiences and ask your own questions.
🎟️ General Admission £49, including one in-person autograph.

🚀 What is an Armchair Astronaut Space Social actually like?
We could tell you, but we'd rather let the people who've already joined us do that.....
After our previous events, guests have described them as "welcoming", "inspiring", "personal" and "brilliantly organised", but there's one thing that comes through again and again: It's the opportunity to hear from an astronaut first-hand that makes these events special.
Not through a screen. Not from a documentary. But sitting in the same room, listening to their stories and asking your own questions.
This photo was taken at our Summer Space Social in July, as NASA astronaut Daniel Tani shared his experiences with us.
On Saturday 7th November, we do it again.
This time, our guest is Doug Hurley: pilot of the final Space Shuttle mission and commander of the first crewed Crew Dragon flight.
🎟️ General Admission: £49
🌟 VIP Experience: £149 — just 5 remaining

European Commission President @vonderleyen's message at #ParisSpaceSummit was clear: Europe's greatest space achievements have been built together.
From Copernicus and Galileo to IRIS², the partnership between the European Commission and ESA shows what Europe can achieve when it acts as one. Now we must build on this momentum to secure Europe's independent access to space.
