๐งต Why the Russian Empire must decolonize and what that should look like (roughly). A long thread targeted at Europeans for brevity.

I voted for PM Carney to diversify Canadaโs economy and reduce our dependence on the U.S.
But strengthening ties with Europe this much, even becoming an associate member of the EU?
This is better than I couldโve imagined.

Canada is reportedly exploring a new โassociate memberโ relationship with the European Union.
That does not mean Canada is joining the EU or giving up sovereignty. Full EU membership is not on the table, and Canada is not eligible under the EUโs current rules.
What is reportedly being explored is a new, deeper partnership focused on the things Canada needs most: energy, critical minerals, AI, defence, infrastructure, trade, and easier movement for workers in key industries.
Canada already has CETA with Europe. This could go much further, helping Canadian companies sell into a market of 450 million people while reducing our dangerous overdependence on one increasingly unreliable American market.
The goal should be simple: more Canadian trade routes, more Canadian leverage, more Canadian jobs, and fewer opportunities for Washington to bully us with tariffs.
No agreement exists yet, and โassociate membershipโ would be a new status that still has to be built and approved. But Canada looking west across the Atlantic instead of putting all our eggs in the us basket is not radical.
It is smart.

Reminder, hunter Biden made $640 million while working in daddyโs administration and $2 billion from the people behind 9/11.
Now that I got republicans attention, that was actually Ivanka and Jared kushner.
Canada can and should be a drone leader!
Canada stands with Ukraine, now and always.ย

Now, weโre forging a new partnership. To equip the Canadian Armed Forces with new drone capabilities. To create good jobs. And to arm Ukraine with the equipment they need to secure a just and lasting peace.

If Bombardier canโt export planes from Canada to the US, PM @MarkJCarney might wish to make an announcement today, for 40-50 Gripen jets.

When I graduated high school I believed Albertans got a bad deal from Canada. But I grew up. I paid attention over decades and learned the oil companies' and government's propaganda was BS. Both need Albertans to have victim complexes.
