In 2021 state bars still prohibit applicants from wearing headwear during an exam unless they fill out a petition seeking exemption on religious grounds. Applicants also have to subject themselves to "inspection" should they be suspected of cheating. @StateBarCA @CaSupremeCourt

Two @NA4ELP team members were invited to speak in support of @ABAYLD Resolution 11YL at the #ABAMidyear. We were unable to give comments today because the @ABAesq delegation voted against extending allotted time to accommodate us. See full comments here: unitedfordiplomaprivilege.or…

If you had to deal with a broken MPT earlier, feel free (if you feel comfortable doing so) commenting in this thread. If the test was compromised by not functioning effectively, it seems to me that should be well known.

Seeing complaints about the MPT. Seems to me that the NCBE did not consider that the MPT in its previous format doesn't work well on the current online format. You can't just take an old test and place it onto a new format. Actually have to adapt the exam to the new format.

We’re receiving reports of computers freezing during the MPT, causing applicants to withdraw mid-test after months of studying. This is unconscionable.

We’re hearing that Spectrum internet, cable, phones etc. in LA are down. Possibly other providers are also down. DM us with details.

This week our brave colleagues embark on the remote #BarExam roller coaster as demanded by outdated thinking and professional gate keeping. It didn’t have to be this way, but here we are. Our entire team is rooting for you and will be here for you no matter the outcome. #Onward

Please sign the letter below, requesting that D.C. allow Oct. 2020 CA bar passers to waive into D.C. admission! @dp4dc
#Advocacy opportunity! CA bar passers have historically been able to waive into the DC Bar, but Oct. 2020 bar passers are excluded from doing so this year. Please sign the petition below, urging the DC COA to allow CA bar passers to waive in. docs.google.com/document/d/1…

Seems like folks in CA aren’t the only ones experiencing portability issues. @NCBEX gave states ultimatums: either have in person exams during a pandemic or get an MBE that is not UBE. Shameful.
So, due to a change in life circumstances, I am going to have to take the bar exam AGAIN. Not because I didn't pass the first time, but because the October 2020 UBE in New York had portability to only 11 states instead of the usual 38. #barpocalypse is never gonna end for me 😓

I think it's reasonable now to wonder whether the Texas Bar Exam will happen as planned next week.

This affects all of us. @NA4ELP
Replying to @hotcocoaesq
Further, #Examplify, the company giving the exam had their main tech support IN TEXAS. This exam will require support for applicants ACROSS THE COUNTRY. This is not just a #Texas problem. In addition, if you are in the major cities, or affluent areas in TX, guess what... 2/3

Imagine being a practicing attorney who’s been silent about the absolute hell state bars have put bar takers through in the past year. Shameful.
