I got really drunk one night and fell asleep on the metro, and when I woke up and got off at Kellyville, the empty landscape made me feel like I had entered an episode of the Twilight Zone

Getting this bug for the first time was when I knew we made something worth playing It was a funny one too, the game worked, it just had an empty map, so we had a few German’s during Next Fest say ‘this is good but feels empty’, which sounded weird until we saw the screenshots

REMINDER When you parse a float, it takes into account the language on the computer you're using. Some cultures use a period for decimal points, while some use commas. More than once have I gotten game breaking bugs due to forgetting about this.

Ok hear me out, but I actually think this could be the thing that saves cinema. We need people to start caring about coming to big movies with big stunts again

The Academy is exploring the possibility of adding a stunt category to the Oscars. “We’re talking to members of the stunt community,” says Academy CEO Bill Kramer (Source: empireonline.com/movies/news…)

there's a fundamental revelation here that's key to understanding the enduring appeal of lucas's prequels -- for all their faults, they are still made by someone with a reverence for cinema as opposed to the modern era, which is only interested in a reverence for star wars.

I love how George Lucas on the very first day of writing the phantom menace instead watched silent movies on vhs while shaking his head saying “how??”

The weekend never ended

4 years ago, on March 7 2020. The last episode of S45 produced in studio before the pandemic forced them to finish out the season with the At Home episodes. It’s biggest legacy, though, would be this small, seemingly innocuous moment from Daniel Craig:

Everyone deserves to have a Stilgar in their life to hype them up

The best part of Dune 2 is when Paul wants to be called Muad’dib after the desert mouse and everyone starts laughing at him then Stilgar is like “No no no the desert mouse is actually fucking sick and you’re all stupid. Paul chose the perfect name you dumb idiots”

There was a zine for all of the games showcased last night with a page for each. Here's our 'very real' local news excerpt we decided to include 📰

FANTASY TOWN REGIONAL MANAGER - Caps Collective @caps_collective Fantasy Town Regional Manager is a roguelite, card-based town builder where you manage a fantasy town that deals with monsters, rowdy adventurers, and corporate oversight. store.steampowered.com/app/1…
Freeplay Awards 2024: Fantasy Town Regional Manager by Caps Collective Honourable Mentions The game image is a screenshot from the game, with houses, trees, other buildings, and a statue on a grassy ground with blocky grey hills in the background (one of which opens up to a mine with a minecart). On the bottom are 3 cards, Cartographer, Bakery, and House, and the House card reads "a cozy little shack for adventurers to stash their loot and sleep off their concussions". There is a meter on the top left corner with various buttons, as well as other icons on the top right corner (newspaper, quest scroll, notebook).

Sydney folks, we’re showing off our little game about dumplings next weekend 🥟 Getting distracted and overhearing conversations is a big part of the game, so a live event’s the perfect way to play it!
