When Tim says “don’t ever underestimate teachers,” we mean it.
My parents were educators, and I’ve taught English and served as a school administrator. Tim and I have even shared a classroom, with a divider down the middle.
This is the experience we bring to the campaign.

On average, in the United States, substitute teachers earn between $70 and $130 per day. (Yes, I know some districts pay more…but this is the average.)
On average, the school day FOR A SUB, is 7.5 hours long.
That makes their hourly rate $13.33. 🙄

You can't go wrong with a social studies teacher. Excited to have @Tim_Walz on the ticket. Good to have someone who knows American history.
It is the honor of a lifetime to join @kamalaharris in this campaign.
I’m all in.
Vice President Harris is showing us the politics of what’s possible. It reminds me a bit of the first day of school.
So, let’s get this done, folks! Join us. secure.actblue.com/donate/so…

If Kamala Harris and Tim Walz WIN the election, Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, a fellow Democrat, would become Minnesota’s next governor.
She would be the first female governor in Minnesota and the first Native American woman to serve as governor in the country.

Mary Moss is starting her 55th year as an educator. Let me repeat that… 55 years in education. After finding that out, I had to get a picture with her and ask her why she hasn’t retired yet. Her response, “Because I still love it.”

A question for teachers/school staff:
How much would you have to make annually so you don’t have to live paycheck to paycheck or work extra jobs, and have peace of mind?
I’ll start: $100k to $105k.
SPOILER: I’m in my 21st year and I’m not even close to that.

Dear Teachers,
If you are leaving (or considering leaving) teaching, what is the reason/reasons why?

2 years ago, a couple who live in Rochester asked me to help them get approval for their granddaughter to leave Ukraine to finish her education as war broke out. On Saturday, she graduated from Century HS and is headed to the U of M. The work we do in @RPS535 truly changes lives.

As part of my son's accommodations, he submits a list of 5 people from his grade that he'd like to have in his class next year, for social comfort. They ensure he gets 2+ of them as classmates.
He just gave me his list.
He put his teacher's name on the list. 😭
Teachers!❤️

Teachers benefit from reserved time to plan, prepare, and collaborate. Surveys show that ample planning time could help retain teachers and prevent burnout. Are large districts increasing planning time for teachers? An NCTQ analysis says no: bit.ly/3X29lbX

- a government that will take care of me if a pregnancy turns fatal
- universal health insurance
- pelvic floor therapy
- universal free preschool
- affordable childcare
- to stop putting the word “mom” in front of titles like mom-preneur
- for schools to allow two parents on the call sheet
- changing tables in all gender bathrooms

- reduced cognitive load
- no homework so I can enjoy my kids at night
- lowered interest rates so I can afford a home for my kids
