YRK: We Will Respond if IRGC Attacks in Shaho Continue The command of the Eastern Kurdistan Defence Units (YRK) has reported drone attacks and shelling by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in areas where its fighters are based in the Shaho mountains. It warned that it would exercise its “right to self-defence” if the attacks continued. According to the statement, the IRGC has deployed troops, heavy weapons and suicide drones in the Shaho area since 13 October 2026. YRK said the Qalaba plain (Deşte Qellbe) was attacked with suicide drones and shelled with heavy weapons that day. YRK said four suicide drones were used in the early hours of 15 October, followed by further IRGC attacks on the Kalatrazan (Kellaterzan) area that continued until noon. The statement also reported the deployment of large numbers of IRGC troops in the area. The command said it had already issued warnings over the attacks, but would take further action if they continued. It stressed that it would exercise its right to self-defence against attacks on its people and fighters and respond accordingly.
