Bryce Underwood lost his job six games into the season because he wasn't performing at the level expected from the position. Why shouldn't Whittingham's staff be held to the same standard? The Wolverines are 130th nationally (out of 138 teams) in total offense with virtually the same personnel they had last season. Compared to last year, pass yards are down 11.2%, rush yards are down 35.9%, total yards down 24.3%, and PPG down 26.5%. This offense is historically bad. The six points against Indiana were the lowest scoring output at home since 2007. Their average of 20.2 PPG is the 3rd lowest since the arrival of Bo Schembechler in 1969. I get that Beck might not have the ideal personnel for his scheme, but it’s literally his job to get the most out of what he has right now. Is there anyone in the country who thinks he's getting the most out of what he has? Have you seen any improvement (in any area) with this offense from game 1 to game 7? And how many times have we now heard Whittingham say he “didn’t like the play call” in a critical moment? The criticism of Beck is warranted, and wanting a change at this point is more than fair.
