The Disappearance of William Morgan Never heard of it? Me neither until I was shown a photo of the nearby Frontier House and began snooping. I kept reading about the false imprisonment and kidnapping(?) of a former Freemason, William Morgan. This is a heck of a story. As usual our buddy @AHC1776 has some more details on Morgan and this whole secret society in America, aspect. Morgan was preparing a book that promised to expose the private rituals and obligations of Freemasonry. In September 1826, after a series of arrests (interesting charges), he was taken across western New York to Fort Niagara. Then he disappeared. It’s old for America. New for Iraq. Built in 1824–25, it has stood the test of American time and seen its share of stories. I appreciate every photo I’m sent with a message of, “You’ll like this” or “Look into this.” Old inns are completely on that list and will be researched. But this one. Oh baby, this one.
