This is all totally unacceptable and not what I expect of @TheEconomist . I think the people handling the chat and subscriptions are completely incompetent.
my subscription was cancelled! Even though I have more than 2 months to run. Now I can't read the Economist even though I'm paid up to April!
I went back to the chat and once again was assured it was an error and would be fixed but no time given.
A few days later I was refunded the rest of the $880.60. However,
The same day I was billed for AU$880.60!! I then went back onto the chat and was told it had been an error and I would get a refund. A few days later, I received an email saying my refund would be AU$115.89 instead of $880.60.
My renewal was due in April but I wanted to accept the new rate of AU$363.30 so I went onto the chat system and asked for it to be set up.
WARNING: @TheEconomist may scam you!
I subscribed to the Economist in April last year (2023) and it was due for renewal in April this year. I recently received a letter from The Economist offering a new annual subscription rate for digital only if I switched to auto-renewal/

I just saw indescribable, raw footage of Hamas’ massacre along with 100 other international journalists, provided by Israeli authorities. Here are the notes I took:
1: Hamas terrorist screaming Allah Akhbah as he frantically tries to behead a dead man with a shovel.
