⚠️ A missile didn't just "land" in Majdal Shams. It was fired by a terrorist group and struck a civilian area. ⚠️ Hezbollah initially claimed responsibility for firing missiles at targets near Majdal Shams. It only denied its involvement once it realized that it had killed 12 children. ⚠️ Just because a terror group denies responsibility, this does not mean we don't know who fired the missile. Why is @FRANCE24 providing cover for Hezbollah's terrorism?

1/ In a sprawling new feature, ABC News Australia recasts Israel’s defensive buffer zones, set up after a multi-front war launched by Hamas and widened by Hezbollah and Iran-backed forces, as a story about Israel “redrawing the map.” The bias starts right in the headline and never lets up. 🧵

6/ ABC News Australia says Israel struck Syria “in support of the Druze,” and that “some see Israel as protectors.” It’s framed as Israel’s claim, and a matter of opinion. It leaves out why Druze might need protection. In July 2025, Syrian government forces entered Sweida. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported 300+ dead, including 27 Druze civilians killed in “summary executions.” A Reuters reporter saw homes looted and burned. ABC News Australia mentions none of it.

7/ ABC News Australia is entitled to scrutinize Israeli military operations, settlements and government policy. But analysis should distinguish temporary military control from sovereignty, settlements from buffer zones, and security measures from permanent territorial claims. Instead, they bundle them together under one dramatic thesis, turning a war started against Israel into a story about Israel redrawing the map.

Dumb or dumber? A) Galway students boycotting Coca-Cola, whose West Bank franchise employs more than 1,000 Palestinians and supports over 10,000 local livelihoods. Or: B) @Independent_ie covering the boycott while apparently being unable to spell Israel. Activism this well-informed deserves journalism to match.

American Jews and Israeli Jews share a history, an identity, and a future. But do they still understand each other? October 7 exposed a divide that had been growing for decades. On this episode of The Honest Take, Ben Chertoff sits down with author Daniel Gordis to discuss why American and Israeli Jews see the world so differently, how antisemitism and the war have reshaped their relationship, and whether the growing rift can be repaired. Two communities. Two very different realities. One Jewish people. Listen to the full episode anywhere you get your podcasts.

For years, Dustin Hoffman appeared to keep Israel at arm’s length. Now he’s delivered a welcome Hollywood plot twist. The Oscar-winning actor joined a star-studded UCLA event celebrating the Jewish people’s historic connection to Israel and raising funds for Israelis recovering from October 7. He even joined singer Ester Rada for “Hatikvah.” When so many celebrities prefer silence, Hoffman deserves credit for showing up. honestreporting.com/a-welcom…

What’s in the headlines shapes what audiences care about, and right now the priorities are badly skewed. Douglas Murray argues newsrooms cover what’s easy to reach, not what matters most. Iran keeps foreign journalists out, so its mass killings barely make the front page, while a West Bank land dispute gets nonstop coverage. As Murray puts it, the media “is not honest anymore about what it cannot report.” Has West Bank coverage shaped how you see the region?

France was burning over wages, schools and the cost of living. So why were Palestinian flags flying at protests about French domestic issues? And why were those flags missing from photo roundups by Magnum, AFP and TIME? AFP even photographed one but omitted it from its own Instagram selection. Photo editors can't show everything. But what they choose to leave out can be just as revealing as what they publish. honestreporting.com/france-w…

Bizarre framing from @Telegraph. Politicians across Israel’s political spectrum have criticized NAZA for what they say are serious factual and journalistic failures. Yet The Telegraph turns that criticism into an election story and declares the documentary is somehow “at the heart of Israel’s election.” It isn’t. If anything, that headline shows how badly The Telegraph misunderstands what is actually driving Israeli politics. xitter.cf/Telegraph/status/21128…
A new documentary has drawn fury from Netanyahu but, with his political future on the line, a measured response would have been smarter 🔗 telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/10…

The lies continue: Terrorists are still being passed off as journalists. @pressfreedom has audited its database of slain Gazan media workers, but not only does the revised tally still contain terrorists, they even reinstated one to the list. 102 out of 191 CPJ-listed journalists has terrorism-ties. We're going to post a jihadi "journalist" every day until the record is corrected by the CPJ and news organizations that cited this list as fact.

Mahmoud Issa Abu Shirby was a Palestinian Islamic Jihad commander in the Gaza Brigade's Central Information Unit. Despite a martyr notice being issued by a terrorist organization, CPJ kept him on its list of Gazan journalists, stating that it could not determine that he was a combatant.

Mohammed Abu Sharia was presented by CPJ, IFJ, and @UNESCO as just the Shams News Agency managing editor. In reality, he was also an operative in the Gaza Brigade's Central Military Media Unit.

"We'll kick the Zios out." - Montreal protesters A protest against a genocide might be expected to make many appeals: For mercy, for aid, for peace. Yet the most common undercurrent throughout the October 7 anniversary protests was an appeal for more violence. 🧵 Source: Free People Power Instagram

Still confused about how Israeli elections work? Israelis vote for parties, not people, and no party has ever won a majority alone. Here’s how it works 🧵👇

The magic number is 61. The president picks whoever has the best shot at a majority. If no one gets there, Israel votes again.
