Carrick should just resign at half-time. Walk into the dressing room, look the players in the eyes and say, “I'm done. I quit. You're on your own.” #MUNBOU

Imagine Carrick walking out at half-time and forcing this bunch of losers to think for themselves. They’d be absolutely clueless. Not a football brain between them

Could we see Man United play with a back three again? 🤔 Could Carrick try this 3-4-2-1 setup with Dalot and Amad as wing-backs? #mufc #MUNBOU

What INEOS have done at #mufc in less than THREE YEARS. It’s actually scary: • Publicly explored replacing Ten Hag, then kept him and extended his contract. • Spent around £200m that summer, only to sack him three months later. • Spent millions securing Dan Ashworth after months of negotiations, only for him to leave five months into the job due to him not being on board with Amorim replacement due to huge change in playing style amid reports. • Backed Amorim after finishing 15th, then sacked him following a reported breakdown in relations with the hierarchy. Where was that decisiveness over performances? • Ratcliffe publicly said Amorim needed three years in October. He was gone by January. • Retained Matt Hargreaves to lead transfer negotiations, yet we’re still questioning why moving players on and completing deals is so difficult. Hargreaves was working in sports marketing before this role. • Said Carrick was an interim appointment while they took their time finding the right long-term manager. Then gave Carrick the job, reportedly against Vivell’s advice. • Left Carrick going into a Champions League season without signing a left-back or providing adequate squad depth. Now we’re discussing his replacement in OCTOBER. • If Carrick goes, his replacement will be the fourth permanent manager to work under INEOS in less than three years. • Wilcox could get another say in choosing the manager despite his role in the decisions that brought us here. He reportedly wants Eddie Howe. Imagine still having Dan Ashworth… • Ratcliffe identified constant managerial changes and switches in playing style as United’s problem in February 2024. Said the club needed an identity and recruitment to match. They’ve repeated the exact cycle he criticised. • Sold McTominay and signed Ugarte despite reports Ten Hag wanted to keep McTominay. • Moved the women’s team into temporary facilities so the men could use their building during Carrington renovations. • Ratcliffe reportedly asked Katie Zelem, the women’s captain at the time, who she was and what she did at the club. • Made hundreds of staff redundant while spending millions reversing their own decisions on managers and executives. • Raised remaining members’ match tickets to £66 midway through 2024/25, removing concessions for children and pensioners on those tickets. • Moved longstanding season-ticket holders out of their seats to make room for more corporate hospitality. • Scrapped free staff lunches, reduced bonuses and removed free staff travel to the FA Cup final. • Cancelled the staff Christmas party and reportedly replaced the £100 Christmas bonus with a £40 M&S voucher.

I’ve held my tongue on the Shea Lacey situation since Brighton, but honestly, Carrick has been daft with this one. You have a talent like Lacey, who scores on his first start, and you give him NOTHING after that. Meanwhile, we were without Amad and Sesko for a period of time and now resort to playing Bruno on the right multiple times. Then you throw him on for a few minutes after a defeat and call it a day. What exactly is the plan here? Anyone who knows Shea knows how much this club means to him. He loves United, gives everything for the badge, and went straight to the fans after yesterday’s loss. Yet time and time again, United managers fail to trust academy players who are willing to run through walls for this club when things get tough. A successful United manager has to understand the academy, trust its talent and give young players a genuine chance. Shea Lacey is one of them. If you can’t find a place for a talent like him in this squad, then what exactly are we doing?

Most Manchester United fans think the Glazers started ruining football clubs in 2005, what they don’t realize is that United was just the ultimate prize in a decades-long history of corporate raiding and greenmail. Before Malcolm Glazer ever stepped foot on Old Trafford, his entire playbook was built on amassing massive targeted stakes in unsuspecting companies, creating chaos for their boards, and forcing lucrative buyouts - Formica (1988): Acquired a heavy stake to corner management into defensive buyouts. - Harley-Davidson (1989): Snagged ~7% of shares, triggering corporate panic until the board reshuffled to protect itself. - Tonka Toys & Brunswick: Hunted consumer icons, using leverage and board friction for cash extractions. - Zapata Corp (1992): Bought 38.8% out of nowhere, waged war against the board, hijacked control, and gutted its balance sheet. When the Glazers turned to Manchester United, they executed the ultimate greenmail evolution - instead of taking a payout to go away, they bought the club, saddled it with over £500M in debt, and made United fund its own hostiles. The parallels to our situation today are undeniable - Value Extraction Over Asset Health: Greenmail prioritizes short-term cash over long-term stability. While Old Trafford and Carrington eroded, hundreds of millions flowed out in dividends and interest payments. - Leverage as a Hostage Fee: The 2005 LBO forced United to pay for its own takeover. Glazers put up virtually zero personal equity. - Partial Buyouts & Fractional Control: Look at the INEOS / Sir Jim Ratcliffe transaction. Instead of exiting, they sold a 25% minority slice at an inflated valuation to fund infrastructure they neglected for 20 years, all while hanging onto B-class voting control. We aren't just dealing with poor football ownership. We are witnessing a textbook corporate greenmail campaign executed on a global institution.
